Hello,
The marks required to get admission under the state quota in NEET vary based on several factors, including the state you are applying in, the category you belong to, and the specific college. However, I can provide some general guidelines based on past trends:
General Category : For admission to government medical colleges under the state quota, general category students typically need to score around 550-600+ marks in NEET.
OBC Category : OBC candidates usually require slightly lower marks than general category candidates, often in the range of 500-550+ marks.
SC/ST Categories : SC/ST candidates usually need around 450-500+ marks to secure a seat in government medical colleges under the state quota.
These figures can vary significantly depending on the competition, the number of seats available, and the specific state you are applying in. For a more precise estimate, it is advisable to look at the previous year's cutoff marks for the state and category you are interested in. This information is typically available on the official websites of the respective state counseling authorities.
