NTA NEET 2023 Changes: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate, NEET UG 2023, every year. The authority has released the NEET UG 2023 information bulletin which contains detailed information on exam pattern, application form, eligibility criteria, reservation policy, mode of examination, and others.

NTA NEET 2023 exam is held for admission to 100388 MBBS, 27,868 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc, and AH seats, 45 medical, 318 dental, 914 AYUSH, and 47 BVSc and AH colleges in India. Read the article below to know about all the changes introduced in the medical entrance examination this year.

NEET 2023 Changes
NTA introduced the following changes in NEET UG entrance exam. Candidates who will appear in NEET UG 2023 must check the changes before applying for the exam.
NEET UG Application fee
NEET application fee has been revised. As per the NEET application fee details, the registration fees for general category has been increased by 100 and candidates have to pay Rs. 1,700. The aspirants residing outside India have to pay Rs 9,500. For EWS/ OBC- NCL category, the fee has been fixed to Rs 1,600 and SC/ ST/ PH- Rs 1000.

The authority has reduced the NEET exam cities. As per the official notification, there will be a total of 485 NEET exam cities in India and 14 outside India. The foreign countries include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, Sri Lanka, Qatar, Nepal, Malaysia, Kuwait, Nigeria, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore.
NEET 2023 Tie-Breaking Procedure
NTA has changed NEET tie-breaking rule. NTA has removed the age and NEET UG application number to determine the NEET 2023 tie-breaking policy. As per the latest change, if two or more candidates score the same in NEET UG 2023 entrance exam, the authority will follow the given below procedure in tie-breaking policy.
Candidates securing higher marks/percentile score in biology (botany and zoology) in NEET exam will be given first preference.
Candidates with higher marks/percentile score in chemistry will be given next preference.
Followed by, candidates obtaining higher marks/percentile score in physics in the exam.
The next preference will be given to candidate with less proportion of the number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects.
Candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Biology (Botany and Zoology) will be preferred.
If the tie is not resolved, candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in chemistry will secure rank.
In case tie still remains, candidates with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in physics in the test.
Addition in NEET 2023
The authority has made a few additions to NEET 2023 UG:
Candidates will be required to upload their present and permanent address proof while filing the NEET application form 2023. The address proof will include Aadhaar card, domicile certificate, passport, voter ID.
Documents (permanent and present address) are to be merged and uploaded in a single pdf file. If both addresses are same, then the same document is enough. If a candidate is staying in a rented accommodation, he/she can upload their rent agreement for proof of present address.
If the mobile number provided by a candidate is international, then an additional number also needs to be provided. Mobile number and e-mail address of the parent or guardian are also mandatory. A copy of the confirmation page, scanned copy of OMR and a copy of the score card will be sent to the registered e-mail address of the candidates.
