Assam PG Medical Admission 2019 - The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Guwahati, will conduct an extended mop-up and spot admission round on May 13 (10. 30 am onward) to fill vacant seats using lowered qualifying cutoff as directed by the GOI. The GOI in consultation with MCI had earlier reduced the NEET PG 2019 qualifying cutoff by 6 percentile across all categories. This means the new qualifying percentile for various categories are 44 (previously 50) for general, 39 (45) for persons with disability, and 34 (40) percentile for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. To go with the lowered NEET PG cutoff, states/UTs have also been asked to prepare revised merit lists for admission in remaining rounds of counselling. Revised Assam PG medical merit list 2019 will be updated on this page as and when it is released. Candidates who are eligible for extended mop-up and spot round have to report for counselling at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati -22. The mop-up round of Assam PG 2019 counselling was conducted on May 8.

Assam PG medical 2019 counselling for second round was conducted from April 24-26. The counselling was open to NEET PG 2019 qualified candidates who are listed in the state merit lists. Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round I are also eligible to participate in second and spots rounds of Assam PG medical counselling if they wanted to upgrade allotted seats.

The 1st round of counselling and spot admission was from April 3-5 in three phases. The first phase of counselling took place on April 4 and was open to un-reserved and reserved candidates (including State Health quota) whose names are listed in the Assam PG medical 2019 state merit list. NEC candidates who have secured 560 marks or above in the merit list as well as candidates who have scored 560 marks after adding 3% bonus marks are also included in phase 1. Also included in this phase are Physically Handicapped Candidates listed in the state merit list and securing 317 marks or above. Meanwhile, 1st round counselling for 3 MDS seats in Regional Dental College, Guwahati, will be held on April 3. Candidates whose names are listed in Assam state merit list of NEET 2019 MDS are eligible to participate in counselling process for admission to MDS courses.

Exnetended mop-up and spot admission of Assam PG medical counselling 2019 will be conducted on May 13 based on revised NEET PG 2019 qualifying cutoff. A revised Assam PG merit list will be prepared based on lowered qualifying cutoff.
Admission authorities have released the counselling schedule for second round and spot admission; counselling will be conducted from April 24-26. The 1st round of counselling for Assam PG medical admission 2019 was held from April 3-5. The counselling will be conducted in offline mode which means candidates need to report to the DME office. Candidates will be called as per their state merit rank and category-wise. Candidates will be required to submit a counselling fee in the form of the demand draft of INR 100. Assam PG medical admission fee is INR 30,000. There will be a total of three rounds of counselling conducted for Assam PG medical 2019 admission.

Assam PG Medical Merit List 2019
The GOI has asked the states/UTs to prepare revised merit lists for remaining rounds for counselling based on revised qualifying marks. Revised Assam PG medical 2019 merit list will be updated on this page as and when released.
DME, Assam, has released the provisional merit list, containing the name of candidates who have filled the application form, on March 12, 2019. Links to download the PG medical and dental state merit list of Assam PG 2019 is available below. The inclusion in this merit list of Assam PG medical admission 2019 does not confirm a seat in the counselling session. The candidates will be invited to the counselling sessions of Assam PG medical 2019 admission on the basis of their rank in the state merit list. No individual communication will be made to the candidates about the release of merit list of Assam PG medical 2019. The merit list for Assam PG medical admission 2019 will consist of candidate’s name, MBBS total percentage, category, NEET PG rank and state merit rank.

Assam PG Medical Eligibility Criteria 2019
Academic Qualification: Candidates are required to qualify NEET PG in order to be considered eligible for Assam PG medical admission 2019. To qualify the exam, candidates must secure 50th percentile if belonging to the Unreserved category. Reserved category candidates are required to secure 40th percentile while PwD candidates belonging to unreserved candidates must secure at least 45th percentile.
Completion of Internship: Candidates who are pursuing compulsory rotatory residential internship must complete it by March 31, 2019.
Domicile Requirement: Only those candidates who are permanent resident of the state and have completed MBBS from the state are eligible to participate in Assam PG medical counselling 2019.
Registration with the council: Candidates are required to be registered with State Medical Council/Medical Council of India.
Others: Candidates must be physically fit to pursue the course.

As per NEET PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria,
candidate must have provisional or permanent medical registration certificate issued by MCI or a State Medical Council. that is to be carried on the day of the exam and during admission.
So, having a provisional certificate is also applicable.
