Odisha MBBS Merit List 2019 - Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE), cell has released the provisional Odisha MBBS/BDS 2019 merit list on July 2; previously the merit list was scheduled to be published on July 1, but was postponed. Odisha MBBS 2019 is published in online mode and can be downloaded by following the link given below. The merit list of Odisha MBBS 2019 contains information like the NEET roll number, NEET common rank, OJEE rank, and category of the candidate. Candidates who are listed in the merit rank would be able to participate in the choice filling and locking process which is open from July 2-3 (11.59 pm). Only applicants who had registered successfully for admission to around 950 MBBS and 150 BDS seats are included in the merit list of Odisha MBBS 2019. Candidates included in the state Odisha MBBS merit list 2019 will be called for counselling process. Based on the scores obtained in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - NEET, the Odisha MBBS rank list 2019 will be prepared for admission to 85% state quota seats.

The remaining 15% seats from all the government MBBS and BDS colleges will be reserved for students selected under All India Quota seats. The seat allotment of these 15% AIQ seats will be done by Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) as per the marks obtained in NEET UG 2019.

Odisha MBBS Rank List 2019 - Tie-Breaking Method

In case the rank of two or more aspirants will be equal, the authority will follow the inter-se merit method as mentioned below.

  • Firstly, candidates with higher marks in Biology will be considered first in the state merit list.

  • In case the tie still exists, then aspirants with better marks in Chemistry will be preferred for the Odisha MBBS 2019 merit list.

  • In case, the above criteria will not break the tie, then candidates with less number of incorrect answers will be allotted higher rank.

  • If the tie still persists, then the candidate older in age will be preferred higher rank.

Highlights of Odisha MBBS Merit List 2019

  • The merit list of Odisha MBBS 2019 will be released for both rounds of counselling.

  • The state rank list will be published in the online mode.

  • Odisha MBBS/BDS merit list 2019 for first round of counselling will be released in the last week of June, while the second round of counselling will be declared in the second week of August 2019.

  • Candidates included in the merit list will be eligible to participate for online Odisha MBBS counselling 2019.

does 10th marks matter for neet

Hello there!
Greetings!

No your 10th marks is not taken into account for considering your eligibility for neet examination, it is your marks in class 12th which is taken into account for considering your eligibility for neet examination.

You can check the neet eligibility criteria provided below :-

  • You must have passed in Physics,
Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of
50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology in your class 12th board examination from a recognized board if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories , 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd category.

  • To be eligible for Neet 2020 you need to be at least 17 years old or more by December 31st, 2020 .

  • There's no upper age limit for neet 2020.

  • There's no attempt limit for neet examination.

Ramani, your code will be 07. Code 07 says: Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Bio-technology; which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University / Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.

Himanshu, if you are from Karnataka, your code will be 03. Code 03 says: The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.

But if you are not from Karnataka, your code will be 02. Code 02 says: The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

It will be 05. Code 05 says: The first year of the three years degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.

Amar you need to choose the code 07 as code 07 is for aspirants who have passed any other examination which in scope and standard is equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects .


You are eligible for neet examination only if you have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology in your class 12th board examination from a recognized board if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories , 45 % aggregate in pcb for pwd category.
