The National Testing Agency (NTA announced NEET UG revised result 2024 on July 26. This is the third set of results for the single undergraduate medical entrance exam conducted on May 5. The latest NEET revised result has been declared after the Supreme Court asked NTA to award marks for the correct answer for Physics question suggested by IIT Delhi experts.
With the latest NEET UG results, the number of toppers dropped from 61 to 17. The NTA first announced the NEET results on June 4 and another NEET result on June 30 for 1,563 candidates who were given grace marks due to loss of time. As per the revised NEET result data, the number of qualified students are now 1,315,853. Earlier, it was 1,316,268. This year, NEET witnessed a significant surge in the number of NEET 2024 exam registrations as compared to previous years. The exam was conducted for over 24 lakh candidates across 4750 centres located in 571 cities in India and 14 cities outside. As per the NEET revised result data, Uttar Pradesh emerged as the top performing state in NEET UG 2024 with 165,015 qualified candidates. Maharashtra emerged second with 142,829 qualified candidates. The NTA released the revised NEET UG 2024 toppers list at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. A total of 17 students including 13 boys and 4 girls have shared the AIR 1 in the NEET results. Earlier, 67 students were declared NEET toppers in the first NEET UG results announced on June 4. The number was later reduced to 61 on June 30 when the NTA removed grace marks given to 1,563 students.
