Have a question related to NEET ?

With a score of 343 in NEET and belonging to the SC category, your chances of securing a BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) seat can be reasonably good, especially under the state quota. The cutoff marks for BAMS in government and private colleges vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability.

In the SC category, cutoffs tend to be lower compared to the general category, which works in your favor. While government colleges might have higher cutoffs, several private and semi-government colleges may offer seats at your score, especially in states with a higher number of BAMS institutions.

In Uttar Pradesh, for instance, the cutoff for SC candidates for BAMS can range from 300 to 400 marks, depending on the college. With 343 marks, you stand a chance, particularly in private colleges or through management quota seats if government colleges seem out of reach.

It's essential to participate actively in the counseling process, exploring all rounds, and being flexible with college preferences. Additionally, consider checking cutoff trends from previous years for more precise guidance.

Your score, combined with the SC reservation, puts you in a competitive position for securing a BAMS seat.

Hello Sruthi,

With a score of 426 in NEET UG and belonging to the ST category from Telangana, you have a fair chance of securing a seat in an MBBS program under the state quota. Telangana has a reservation policy that significantly benefits candidates from the ST category, and the cutoff marks are generally lower compared to the general category.

Based on previous years' trends, the cutoff for ST candidates in government medical colleges in Telangana usually ranges between 370 to 420 marks. Your score of 426 is slightly above this range, which increases your chances of getting a seat in a government medical college.

However, the exact cutoff can vary each year depending on factors like the number of candidates, difficulty level of the exam, and availability of seats. To maximize your chances, it's advisable to participate actively in the counseling process and keep an eye on the cutoff trends during the various rounds of counseling.

If a government seat is not secured, you still have the option of private medical colleges, where your category might provide some relaxation in the cutoff.

Good luck with your counseling and admissions!
