Kerala MBBS Counselling 2018 - Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, the conducting body for Kerala NEET MBBS counselling 2018, has resumed the second round of counselling on August 7. Candidates can submit fresh choices and edit the previous choices till August 11 up to 10.00 AM. The All India Quota seats will be transferred to the states on August 8 and will be made available for the candidates in the second round of counselling. The result of the round two of counselling will be declared on August 12. The final allotment result of round one was declared on July 4, 2018. Earlier the trial allotment result was published on June 27, 2018. This trial allotment result gave an idea to candidates about the college/course they might be allotted as per their registered options. After this candidates were able to change their options before June 29, 2018 (10:00 AM).

The online option registration process for the first round of seat allotment process for MBBS BDS courses in Kerala started on June 23, 2018. As per the official notice released by CEE, eligible candidates could register their options from June 23 to 29, 2018 till 10:00 AM. The counselling process of Kerala MBBS 2018 was in the online mode. The candidates included in the merit list were eligible to participate in Kerala MBBS counselling 2018. Aspirants will be applying to as many as 5,259 seats in Kerala MBBS 2018 counselling. The admission is taken on the basis of candidates’ NEET UG score and the preferences given by them during the counselling of Kerala MBBS 2018. In this article, candidates can check the important dates, counselling procedure, participating institutes and seat matrix.

Kerala MBBS BDS Counselling (Round Two)

The online option confirmation for round two started on July 23 and was conducted till July 26, 2018. CEE has made available the online option confirmation again on August 7. The last date to submit or edit option is July 11 up to 10.00 AM.  The result of the option confirmation will be released on July 12, 2018. Online option confirmation is mandatory to participate in the second round of counselling. Candidates who participated in the round two of counselling earlier by exercising options were required to confirm their options to be considered for allotment. The seat allotment of Kerala MBBS BDS (first round) has been done on the basis of the online options exercised by the candidates until July 3, 2018 (12.00 PM). Seat allotment has also been done for the NRI quota candidates in the Self-financing medical and dental colleges, and for the Minority quota candidates in the Private Self-financing medical and dental colleges having minority status. Kerala MBBS BDS Counselling Result (Final Seat Allotment)

The result of the final seat allotment for Kerala MBBS BDS 2018 was published on July 4, 2018. The list includes the candidates' names, state rank, application number and the course and the college they have been allotted based n their preferences and the NEET UG scores. The result made available here is collective for all the courses including medical,  dental and allied courses. The last date for fee remittance after the first round of seat allotment of Kerala MBBS BDS was July 12, 2018. Candidates who did not pay the money within the allotted time will not be considered for the second round of seat allotment to be published by July 26, 2018.

Students allotted seats in the first round of seat allotment can leave the Kerala MBBS BDS seat by July 22, 2018, failing which they will not be considered for the second round of seat allotment but will be eligible for the mop-up round of Kerala MBBS BDS 2018 counselling. Candidates leaving the seat before July 22, 2018, will be entitled to reimbursement of the college fees as well as fee submitted to the exam commissioner and their documents will be returned. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the first round but willing to change their course/college in the second will also be reimbursed the amount of tuition fee and handed over the documents. No extra fee other than the admission and exam fee will be charged from the student at the time of admission through the first round. Candidates not eligible for the second round of Kerala MBBS BDS counselling 2018 will not be considered for seat allotment or mop-up round.

The online option entry for first round of counselling of Kerala MBBS 2018 was open from June 23, 2018, till 10:00 AM on June 29, 2018. Candidates could register their preferences/options by entering their Application Number and Password on KEAM 2018 Candidate portal.  Candidates who are allotted an MBBS/BDS seat in the first phase of allotment will be necessarily required to join the allotted college and remit the fee within the stipulated period of time, otherwise, all their existing allotment and options will be lost. Kerala MBBS BDS Counselling Result 2018 (Trial Allotment)

The result of the trial allotment was published on June 27, 2018. The result provided candidates with an estimate of which college they would get on the basis of their NEET rank. The candidates had an option of changing the preferences till June 29, 2018, up to 5.00 PM. The result made available here is collective for all the courses including medical and dental courses.

Kerala MBBS NEET BDS Counselling 2018 – Procedure

Step 1: Login

The candidates must log on to the ‘Candidate Portal’ on the link given above. Aspirants must provide their Application number and password on KEAM Candidate Portal 2018 to login.

 

Step 2: Option Registration Page

In this step, candidates are required to create their password. Click on the link ‘Option Registration’ which is given in the online portal and create a password. It is the aspirant’s responsibility to keep the password safe and it is advisable to change it in the frequent interval of time.

 

Step 3: Choice Filling and Locking

On this page, the candidates can view the list of Medical and Dental colleges. There is be a two letter code mentioned along with all the Institutions. The candidates can also see the number of seats available in a particular Institute. By clicking on the Institute name, candidates are adding them to their list and S. No. written with the name of the Institute reflects the preference given to the particular college. The candidates are considered for only those colleges and courses for which they have given preference. Click on ‘Save’ button after selecting every option. The option gets cancelled by typing ‘0’ against that option. The candidates can also modify or rearrange the options. The options will be locked automatically after the stipulated time is over.

The authorities will also conduct a Trial Allotment session before the scheduled time of choice locking is over. This session will give candidates an idea about the chances of getting the colleges and courses according to NEET 2018 score and the preferences given by them. It is not certain that the exact result will be displayed but it will help candidates in understanding the preferences that they can give according to their score.
