The eligible list of candidates for each category had been released on June 28. The application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018 was released on June 19, 2018. The West Bengal MBBS 2018 application form had been released in online mode. The last date to apply to West Bengal MBBS admission 2018 was June 24, 2018.

The candidates who had filled up the West Bengal MBBS 2018 application were required to attend the document verification session. The document verification session started on June 20, 2018, till June 27, 2018 (4.00 PM). The candidates who have successfully verified their documents and received a verification slip have been included in West Bengal MBBS 2018 merit list. The merit rank is arranged in the decreasing order of the candidates’ NEET UG 2018 score. West Bengal MBBS BDS Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  • The candidate must be of 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018.

  • The candidate must not be more than 25 years of age on or after May 7, 2018.

  • The candidate must secure minimum required percentile in NEET UG to be eligible for admission to West Bengal MBBS 2018.

  • The candidate must be a domicile of West Bengal by fulfilling one of the below-mentioned criteria-

    • Proforma a1 - The candidate must have lived continuously for at least 10 years in the state of West Bengal.

    • Proforma a2 - The candidate must have lived and studied continuously for at least 10 years in the state of West Bengal. The candidate must complete Class 12 to fulfil this criterion.

    • Proforma b - The candidate who has not resided in the state of West Bengal but his parent/s should be permanent residents of the state for West Bengal MBBS 2018 admission.

  • The candidate belonging to a reserved category should have a caste certificate issued by a competent authority in West Bengal.

  • The candidate should pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in Class 12 final examination to be eligible for West Bengal MBBS admission 2018.

  • The candidate is also required to score in Class 12 or equivalent examination, 50% marks or above taken together Physics, Chemistry and Biology under UR category; 45% marks or above under PH category; 40% marks or above in SC/ST/OBC A or OBC B category.

West Bengal MBBS BDS Merit List 2018

DHFW has released the West Bengal MBBS BDS 2018 merit list for the second round on August 6, 2018. The merit list of West Bengal MBBS admissions 2018 for the first round was released on June 28, 2018. The merit list includes all the candidates who have verified their documents at the allotted centre and have qualified NEET 2018. The inclusion in merit list does not guarantee a seat, it only means that a candidate is eligible for the choice filling and choice locking round. The merit list of West Bengal MBBS 2018 admissions will contain candidate’s name, NEET rank, NEET score, and category. The candidates have not been informed about the merit list for admissions to West Bengal MBBS 2018 individually.

 

West Bengal MBBS BDS Counselling 2018

The second round of West Bengal MBBS counselling 2018 started on August 2, 2018 (12.00 pm) where candidates can enroll themselves and pay the enrollment fee. Candidates enrolled earlier need not pay the enrollment fee again. The counselling session of West Bengal MBBS admission 2018 started on June 29, 2018, and was over on July 3, 2018. West Bengal MBBS 2018 admission counselling session is conducted online. The candidates need to register online again with their transaction ID, and application number. The candidates have a list of Institutes/Colleges offering courses available on the portal where they have filled West Bengal MBBS 2018 application form. The candidates can choose any number of Institutes/Colleges. The candidates are advised to lock their choices before the choice locking session gets over, otherwise, the choices they have made earlier get locked automatically. The candidates who did not choose any Institute/College will not be considered for the further process of West Bengal MBBS admissions 2018. The result for each round is declared on a merit cum preference basis. The second round of counselling and manual counselling will be conducted, if the seats remain vacant after the admissions by the first round of counselling are completed.

The application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018 admissions had been released on June 19, 2018. Only those candidates who had filled in the application form of West Bengal MBBS admission 2018 are eligible for 85% State Quota seats. The last date to fill the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018 admissions was June 24, 2018. The registration form for admission to West Bengal MBBS 2018 was released in the online mode only. The candidates were required to deposit fees of INR 3,000 through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. The amount is non-refundable. The candidates who had filled the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018 admission were required to attend the document verification session at the allotted centre.
