West Bengal MBBS Application Form 2018 – Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kolkata allowed candidates to register afresh for the second round by filling up the West Bengal MBBS 2018 application form on August 2, 2018. The registration fee for the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018 (second round) is to be paid till August 3, 2018. Candidates who had earlier registered for West Bengal MBBS admission 2018 need not register again. Earlier, DHFW had released the West Bengal MBBS 2018 application form on June 19, 2018. The application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018 was only available in online mode. The candidates in order to participate in the counselling process for 85% State Quota seats were required to fill West Bengal MBBS application form 2018.

The authorities published a seat matrix list after the release of the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018. The seat matrix contains information about the number of seats available in 15 medical colleges and 6 dental colleges. The candidates were allowed to fill West Bengal MBBS application form 2018 until June 24, 2018.  

After filling the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018, candidates were required to attend the document verification session at the allotted centre. The admissions will be taken on the basis of NEET UG 2018 score. The candidates who will secure minimum required percentile in NEET result 2018 will be eligible to fill West Bengal MBBS application form 2018. West Bengal MBBS BDS Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • A candidate or candidate’s parents must be a domicile of West Bengal state to become eligible for filling the application form of West Bengal MBBS 2018. Candidate should fulfill one of the three eligibility criteria -

    1. Proforma a1 - The candidate must have lived continuously for at least 10 years in the state of West Bengal.

    2. Proforma a2 - The candidate must have lived and studied continuously for at least 10 years in West Bengal state. The candidate must have completed Class 12 to fulfill this criterion.

    3. Proforma b- The candidate who has not resided in the state of West Bengal but his parent/s should be permanent residents of the state for West Bengal MBBS 2018 admission.

  • The candidate must be of 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018, and the upper age limit is 25 years which means the candidate should be born on or after May 7, 1993, for West Bengal admission 2018.

  • The candidate must have secured minimum required percentile in NEET 2018 to be eligible to fill West Bengal MBBS 2018 application form.

  • The candidate is required to pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in Class 12 or equivalent examination to fill West Bengal application form 2018.

  • The minimum required percentage in Class 12 or equivalent examination should be 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For SC/ST candidates, it should be 40%.

How to fill West Bengal MBBS Application Form 2018?

Registration

The candidates are required to click on “Application for participation in pre-counselling”. The registration page is then displayed on the screen. The aspirants can fill the required fields like Roll No., Application No., Date of Birth, and Security Pin and then click on “Submit” button. These fields should be in accordance with their NEET admit card 2018 to register for West Bengal application form 2018.

Submission of Contact Details

After submitting the above-mentioned details, candidates are required to submit their details like mobile no., email ID, mailing address, and pin code and click on “continue” button. The details of the candidates filled by themselves and filled during the submission of NEET UG application form  2018 are displayed on the screen. If the details of the candidate match, then they can click on “Continue to confirm.”

Declaration

On this page, a declaration stating whether the candidate has fulfilled the educational eligibility criterion or not is displayed. According to this criterion, the candidate is required to pass in Class 12 examination or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually. The candidate must score in Class 12 or equivalent examination at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in aggregate. The minimum required percentage for candidates belonging to PwD category is 45% and for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates, it is 40%. The candidate must make sure that if there is any discrepancy found in the information given by the candidate then legal action can be taken against him/her.

Domicile

The candidates who are a domicile of West Bengal state must click on “Yes” button to confirm and the remaining candidates should click on “No”. The admission seekers who are not from the state of West Bengal must note that they are only eligible for Private Management Quota seats. After submitting all these details, the candidates can click on “Confirm Submission”. There will be no changes allowed after final submission. Therefore, it is advised if the information submitted is correct, only then the candidate should click on the button.

Payment

The candidates who have submitted all their information will be redirected to the payment page. The candidates can make the payment through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card. This payment is used in the further admission process of West Bengal MBBS 2018 like document verification, registration for counselling, and online choice locking session. A transaction ID is displayed on the screen after the successful submission of application fee.

Online Application Slip (Only for non-domicile candidates)

The aspirants who are not a domicile of West Bengal state are only eligible for Private Management Quota seats. Therefore, they are only required to submit the documents once they have secured a seat at any Private medical/dental institute. West Bengal MBBS 2018 application process ends for such candidates.

Domicile Details

The candidates who have clicked on “Yes” while confirming that they are a domicile of West Bengal state must clarify which domicile proforma they belong to (Proforma a1/a2/b). The documents for the respective domicile should be submitted at the time of document verification session.

Seat Reservation Category

The candidates who want to change their caste category from what they mentioned in NEET UG 2018 application form can click on “Yes”. The candidates have to choose which caste category they belong to according to the rules laid down by Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.

PH category

If the candidates belong to PH (Physically Handicapped) category then they have to clarify the percentage of disability and these candidates must have a certification from IPGMER Medical Board West Bengal.

Print Online Slip

The candidates who are a domicile of West Bengal state have a different online slip from those who are not. The venue of document verification session with date and time is mentioned on the online slip. The online slip is required at the time of document verification session, therefore, the candidates are advised to download and take a printout of the slip.

  • Class XII pass certificate.

  • Domicile certificate.

  • Valid ID proof. (School or College ID card/Voter ID card/Aadhar card/Passport).

  • PH Certificate, if applicable.

  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B), if applicable.

  • Medical Certificate.

  • Counselling fees slip printout.

  • Online Slip.

After verification, the candidates are provided with a verification slip online available for download for further reference.
