    Meaning

    100 Percentile

Candidate scored highest in the shift

    50 Percentile

AIIMS BSc Nursing Normalization Process 2026

The AIIMS BSc nursing normalization process 2026 includes several factors and is prepared by following multiple stages. The complete process of AIIMS BSc nursing 2026 normalisation process is explained below.

Step 1: Students are Divided into Multiple Shifts

Candidates are distributed randomly into different exam shifts. This helps AIIMS maintain fairness and avoid any kind of favour.

Step 2: Raw Scores are Calculated

After the exam is concluded, raw marks are prepared based on the subject-wise marks scored by the students. These subject-wise raw marks are then added together to give the overall score of candidates.

Step 3: Percentile Scores are Calculated

AIIMS converts raw marks into percentile scores separately for each shift. The percentile is calculated up to 7 decimal places to reduce tie cases.

Step 4: AIIMS BSc Nursing Merit List

After percentile scores are prepared for all shifts, all shift percentile scores are merged and candidates are arranged in descending order of their percentile score.

AIIMS BSc Nursing Tie-Breaking Rule 2026

If after applying the normalisation process, two or more candidates get the same percentile score, in such cases, AIIMS uses tie-breaking rules.

    AIIMS Tie Resolution Process 2026

    • Student with higher percentile in Biology is placed higher in the merit list

    • If the tie still exists, candidate with higher percentile in Chemistry is placed higher in merit list

    • Even if the tie exists, then candidate with higher percentile in Physics is placed higher

    • If there is still a tie, then older candidate by age is placed higher in the merit list
