Students who secured the minimum cut-off marks in the NEET UG will be eligible for BAMS counselling 2026. Check the basic eligibility criteria below:
A candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognised board with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Aspirants should have scored a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (40% marks for reserved category students)
Candidates must qualify NEET UG exam
The minimum age shall be 17 years as on December 31, 2026

The AYUSH Admission Central Counselling Committee will conduct the BAMS counselling online for All India Quota seats in government-aided institutes, central universities, national institutes, private colleges, and 100% of seats in deemed universities. The authority conducts aaccc.gov.in AYUSH counselling for courses such as BAMS/BUMS/BHMS through NEET UG scores. The counselling is conducted in 3 rounds for 15% AIQ seats, followed by a mop-up round.
The eligible candidates will have to fill out their choices of colleges and courses as per their preferences and lock them in within the stipulated time. Candidates who fail to lock their choices before the last date, their filled choices will be locked automatically. The AACCC will release the BAMS seat allotment list after the conclusion of each round. The BAMS admission is granted on the filled preferences, availability of seats, NEET UG rank, reservation criteria, and other factors.
The BAMS counselling 2026 along with other AYUSH courses will be conducted by state authorities for 85% of state quota seats. The BAMS admission will be based on the NEET 2026 merit list wherein each state which offers AYUSH courses will conduct its own separate counselling in accordance with their respective rules and regulations. Candidates need to check the eligibility criteria by visiting the official website of the particular institute in their respective states they wish to take admission in.

The BAMS AYUSH merit list is released on the official website. The merit list will include names of only the qualified candidates who have submitted their registration forms. The BAMS merit list will be based on the NEET UG score, AIR, cut-off scores, eligibility criteria and other factors. The merit list will include the name of the candidate, the All India rank, and the NEET 2026 score. Aspirants whose names appear on the merit list will have to appear for the counselling rounds. During the counselling process, aspirants must provide their courses and college preferences. The AACCC will release the merit list for 15% All India Quota seats and state authorities will release the merit list for the remaining 85% state quota seats.
