Below is the state-wise expected NEET cutoff 2025 or states with lowest NEET scores, where the cutoff can be low. 1. Goa
Lowest Score (2024): ~550–619 marks (General, State Quota, Goa Medical College, Bambolim).
Historical Low: ~451 marks (2019, General, State Quota).
Reason: Single government medical college with low competition.
Reserved Categories: SC/ST cut-offs ~400–450 marks in 2024.
2025 Projection: ~530–600 marks (General) due to tougher exam.

2. Arunachal Pradesh
Lowest Score (2024): ~147 marks (General, State Quota, Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences).
Reason: Low applicant numbers in northeastern states.
Reserved Categories: SC/ST cut-offs ~100–120 marks.
2025 Projection: ~140–550 marks (General), potentially lower for ST due to reservations.
3. Karnataka
Lowest Score (2024): ~119 marks (General, State Quota, Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences).
Reason: High seat availability (45 government colleges) reduces competition.
Reserved Categories: SC/ST cut-offs ~100–113 marks.
Private Colleges: ~350 marks (e.g., Arunai Medical College, management quota).
2025 Projection: ~120–580 marks (General, State Quota).
4. Bihar
Lowest Score (2024): ~113 marks (OBC/SC, State Quota, Darbhanga Medical College).
General Category: ~550–590 marks.
Reason: Large seat numbers and reservations lower cut-offs for OBC/SC/ST.
2025 Projection: ~110–570 marks (OBC/SC), ~530–580 (General).
5. Tamil Nadu
Lowest Score (2024): ~113 marks (ST, State Quota, Government Medical College, Karur).
General Category: ~600–630 marks.
Reserved Categories: SC/ST ~420–500 marks.
Private Colleges: ~350 marks (e.g., Karpagam Faculty).
2025 Projection: ~110–400 marks (ST), ~580–610 (General).
6. Mizoram
Lowest Score (2024): ~400 marks (General, State Quota, Zoram Medical College).
Reason: Low competition and fewer candidates.
Reserved Categories: ST ~300–350 marks.

7. Nagaland
Lowest Score (2024): ~400 marks (General, State Quota, Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences).
Reason: Limited applicants.

8. Andaman and Nicobar Islands

9. Meghalaya
Lowest Score (2024): ~500 marks (General, State Quota, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong).
Reason: Low competition in the northeastern region.

10. Dadra and Nagar Haveli
Lowest Score (2024): ~500 marks (General, State Quota, NAMO Medical Education & Research Institute).
Reason: Fewer applicants due to a small population.
Reserved Categories: SC/ST ~350–400 marks.

There are several reasons due to which the NEET cutoff for some states is comparatively lower than others. Some of these reasons are as follows:
Low Competition: Northeastern states (Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland) and Union Territories (Andaman, Dadra) have fewer applicants, resulting in low competition.
High Seat Availability: States like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have many colleges, which results in less competition per seat, resulting in a lower cutoff
Reservations: States like Bihar and Tamil Nadu have lower NEET cut-offs for SC/ST/OBC due to reservation policies.

Hi dear candidate,
Although NEET and paramedical courses (nursing, lab tech etc.) share same core subjects of PCB but the syllabus for NEET is NOT identical with that of paramedical exams as they require extra sections of GK and aptitude that is beyond NEET.

Your plan to shift from online BCA to regular MCA is completely valid and acceptable. The gap years taken for NEET preparation will not affect MCA admission.
You should first try government colleges through exams like NIMCET or CUET-PG for better fees and placements. Top options include NITs, University of Hyderabad, JNU, and Delhi University.
If not, good private choices are VIT, Manipal, SRM, Amrita, and Christ University. Choose a college based on placements, fees, and industry exposure, not just the name.
