Odisha MBBS Admission 2019 - Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) cell is the authority responsible for Odisha MBBS 2019 admission in the government and private colleges. The admission to 950 MBBS and 150 BDS seats offered by medical and dental colleges will be granted through Odisha MBBS/BDS admission 2019 on the basis of scores obtained in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) exam. Only candidates who meets the basic eligibility criteria can appear for admission to Odisha MBBS 2019 under 85% state quota seats. While, from all the government medical colleges, 15% seats will reserved for All India Quota aspirants. These 15% NEET AIQ seats will be filled by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) based on the NEET 2019 scores.

Candidates seeking for MBBS and BDS admissions must fill the application form of Odisha MBBS 2019 in online mode. The online registrations will begin from the second week of June 2018, for the eligible applicants. While registering, students must enter their NEET UG 2019 rank and score details, basic, academic and other asked details. Odisha MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2019

The eligibility criteria of Odisha MBBS/BDS 2019 must be read by medical aspirants to check whether they can apply for Odisha MBBS 2019 admission. Go through the basic eligibility conditions mentioned below.

  • An applicant must have completed the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2019 and should be born on or before January 1, 2002. 

  • Students should not be more than 25 years of age as on May 5, 2019.

  • For admission to Odisha MBBS admission 2019, candidates must be a permanent native of Odisha.

  • The children of All India Civil Services who are serving in the Odisha cadre will be eligible for MBBS and BDS admission.

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and should have secured at least 50% as an aggregate as an general category. While SC/ST/OBC and PH aspirants must obtain an aggregate of 40% and 45% respectively in qualifying examination.

  • The minimum NEET cutoff 2019 percentile must be secured by applicants to be deemed eligible for Odisha MBBS & BDS admission.

Odisha MBBS Application Form 2019

Candidates who fulfills the above-mentioned eligibility criteria can fill the admission form of Odisha MBBS 2019. Aspirants must register themselves for both first and second round of counselling. During the process of filling Odisha MBBS 2019 application form, aspirants need to register online by selecting the course for admission and creating the Login ID and password. The login ID and password will be used to login to the application form to complete the remaining steps. Then, the basic details such as name, date of birth, category, mobile number, email ID, address and academic details like Class 12 or equivalent examination marks, NEET UG scores, All India Rank, category rank and other related details must be entered in the application form. The fee of Rs. 1000 must be deposited in the online mode by using debit/credit cards or net banking. 

The application form of Odisha MBBS/BDS 2019 for the first round of counselling will be available in the second week of June. While the online registration for Odisha MBBS admission 2019 will be released in the first week of August. Once the application form is submitted successfully, candidates will be required to report at the designated centres for document verification. Below are the list of documents which must be verified.

The document verification slip will be provided to the candidates after the verification process is completed which will be used for subsequent rounds of Odisha MBBS counselling 2019. 

Odisha MBBS Merit List 2019

OJEE will release the merit list of Odisha MBBS/BDS 2019 for each round, separately. The scores obtained in NEET UG 2019 will be the basis for preparation of Odisha MBBS rank list. Candidates whose application will be submitted and accepted will be included in the merit list of Odisha MBBS admission. The counselling authority will release the rank list for the first round in last week of June 2019, while the merit list for second round will be released in the second week of August 2019. Odisha MBBS merit list 2019 will display the names of candidates, state domicile, category, NEET All India Rank, Odisha MBBS state merit rank and other details.

Odisha MBBS Counselling 2019

The counselling of Odisha MBBS/BDS 2019 will be conducted by OJEE in online mode. The authority will organise three rounds of counselling (including mop-up rounds). Students included in the merit list will be called for counselling as per their merit rank. In order to participate for Odisha MBBS 2019 counselling, aspirants have to fill their choices of colleges and courses, in which they wish to get admission into. Considering these choices, state merit rank and availability of seats, the admission will be granted. 

The first round of Odisha MBBS/BDS counselling 2019 will be conducted in the first week of July. After the round one will be over, aspirants who will be allotted seats must report at the respective colleges for verification of documents and completion of Odisha MBBS/BDS admission process.

Once the round one is over, the second round will commence from the second week of August 2019 to fill the vacant seats left. In case, after the first and second round of counselling, if there will be any seats left, then authority will conduct mop-up round of counselling. 

Odisha MBBS Seats Reservation 2019

  • Since there is no OBC category in the state of Odisha, therefore candidates belonging to such category will be considered under general category for admission. However, the minimum cutoff will be 40 percentile as mentioned in NEET result 2019.

  • Candidates being admitted through Green Cards must be a permanent native of Odisha and must produce Green Cards of their parents issued by the state government. Student’s date of birth mentioned in that must be same as mentioned in HSC certificate.
