Odisha MBBS Admission 2018 – The conducting body of Odisha MBBS 2018 admission, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination cell (OJEE) has released the dates for the spot counselling round. The process of online counselling for admission to Odisha MBBS 2018 on July 1, 2018. The merit list for the Odisha MBBS 2018 admission was released on June 30,  2018. Earlier OJEE had released the application form for Odisha MBBS admission 2018 on June 20. OJEE is appointed by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training to conduct the whole admission procedure for 85% State Quota seats. The last date to fill the application form of Odisha MBBS admission 2018 was June 25, 2018 (11.59 PM).

The candidates who had filled the Odisha MBBS 2018 application form were required to attend the document verification session held at nodal centres from June 26 to June 29, 2018. These candidates who have successfully verified their documents and application form were included in Odisha MBBS merit list 2018. The admission to Odisha MBBS 2018 will be conducted for 950 seats in medical colleges and 150 seats in dental colleges. The admission to Odisha MBBS 2018 is taken on the basis of NEET UG 2018 score. Odisha MBBS BDS Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India/OCI/NRI/PIO.

  • The candidate must be of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018,

  • The candidate must not be more than 25 years of age as on May 7, 2018.

  • The candidate must be a permanent native of Odisha state.

  • The candidate whose parent/s are serving in Odisha state as All India Civil Service officers are also eligible for Odisha MBBS Admission 2018.

  • The candidate must have passed Class XII board examination.

  • The candidate is required to pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.

  • The candidate is also required to score at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, in aggregate provided he/she belongs to General category. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required percentage is 40.

  • The candidate must secure minimum required percentile in NEET UG 2018 in order to be eligible for Odisha MBBS 2018 admission.

The registration process for Odisha MBBS 2018 admission for the second round starts for the candidates who did not apply earlier (including NRI candidates) starts on August 7, 2018. The last date to register for admission to Odisha MBBS 2018 for the second round is August 10, 2018. The application form of Odisha MBBS Admission 2018 had been released on June 20, 2018. The application form was released in the online mode only. The last date to apply for Odisha MBBS 2018 Admission was June 25, 2018. The candidates were required to appear for the document verification session. The session was conducted offline and the documents were returned to the candidates. The application fee for admission of Odisha MBBS 2018 was Rs. 1000.

Odisha MBBS BDS Seat Reservation 2018

The candidates must note that there is no OBC quota in Odisha state, therefore, the candidates belonging to OBC category will be considered in the Unreserved category and the minimum qualifying percentile for such candidates will be 50th percentile. The candidates claiming reservation under Green Card Holder category must be permanent natives of the state. The cards issued only by the Government of Odisha will be considered. If there are any seats reserved for a particular category are left vacant then these seats will be filled up by candidates belonging to UR category. Odisha MBBS BDS Counselling 2018

OJEE has released the revised dates for the spot or mop-up round of Odisha MBBS 2018 counselling. Odisha MBBS counselling 2018 for the second round was held from August 1o to August 11, 2018. The second round of Odisha MBBS 2018 counselling was earlier put on hold until the counselling for the All India Quota seats by Medical Counselling Committee was through. The counselling for Odisha MBBS 2018 admission began on July 1, 2018. Odisha MBBS BDS admission 2018 is taken on merit cum preference basis. The counselling of Odisha MBBS 2018 was conducted online. The candidates have a list of Medical and Dental Institutes on the online portal wherein they were able to choose the Institutes and add it to their list. The candidates can choose any number of institutes in the order of preference. The candidates were required to lock their final choices otherwise the choices will be locked automatically.
