Re NEET 2026 AIR 1 Aryan Gupta Interview: Preparation Strategy, Study Plan & Success Tips

Careers360: Hello Aryan! Congratulations on scoring 715 out of 720 in the Re-NEET 2026 examination. How are you feeling right now?

Aryan: Thank you. I am feeling wonderful. The result still feels unreal. Seeing my parents and teachers so happy is the best feeling. Honestly, I never expected to score this high, so I'm extremely happy.

Careers360: Please introduce yourself to our audience.

Aryan: My name is Aryan Gupta. I have been preparing for NEET for the past two years. I scored 715 out of 720 in the Re-NEET 2026 examination. My dream is to study at AIIMS Delhi and become an oncologist.

Careers360: Please tell us about your family?

Aryan: I come from a family of doctors. My mother, Dr. Renu Gupta, is a gynecologist, and my father, Dr. Sachin Gupta, is an anesthesiologist. My elder brother scored AIR 54 in NEET 2025 and is currently studying at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi. Almost everyone in my extended family is a doctor.

Careers360: How was your performance in Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations?

Aryan: I completed my Class 10 from the Cambridge Board, where I scored 200 out of 200 in Mathematics. Later, I shifted to the CBSE Board for Classes 11 and 12 and secured 97.2% in Class 12.

Careers360: Was it difficult to transition from the Cambridge Board to the CBSE Board?

Aryan: Initially, it was slightly challenging because the Cambridge syllabus is quite different from CBSE. Some topics had already been covered by CBSE students. However, after one or two months, everything became manageable. In fact, my Cambridge background helped me in subjects like Physics.

Careers360: Besides coming from a family of doctors, who inspired you to pursue medicine?

Aryan: It wasn't a particular person. My grandmother passed away due to cancer when I was in Class 3. Later, my grandfather also died because of cancer. Despite coming from a family of highly qualified doctors, we couldn't save them. That experience inspired me to become a doctor, and someday I hope to contribute towards finding a cure for cancer.

Careers360: Why did you choose Education Square for your NEET coaching?

Aryan: The teachers in Education Square are very supportive, and the institute has consistently produced excellent results. Since it was close to home and my elder brother had also studied here successfully, I had complete confidence in choosing this institute.

Careers360: What advice did your elder brother give you before you started your preparation?

Aryan: The biggest advice he gave me was to blindly trust my teachers. He told me not to overthink or try to create my own study strategy. Teachers have years of experience and have guided thousands of students, so simply following them sincerely is enough.

Careers360: How much did you score in the original NEET 2026 examination held on May 3?

    Aryan: I scored 696 out of 720.

Careers360: What was your reaction when the original NEET 2026 exam was cancelled?

Aryan: Honestly, I felt slightly relieved. My first attempt wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as I had expected. The cancellation gave me another opportunity. Although reopening my books after two years of continuous preparation wasn't easy, I started studying again immediately after the announcement.

Careers360: What changes did you make during the 40-day preparation period before Re-NEET?

Aryan: I didn't change my study routine. The biggest change was in my mindset. I stopped putting unnecessary pressure on myself. Instead of obsessing over ranks and colleges, I focused only on what I could control and left the rest to God.

Careers360: Which was your favourite NEET subject?

Aryan: Physics. I genuinely enjoy Physics because it requires understanding and logical thinking rather than rote memorization.

Careers360: Many students find Physics difficult. What was your strategy?

Aryan: My advice is to study from one teacher and trust them completely. Revise class notes daily, solve the assignments given that day, and spend time solving difficult questions yourself before asking for help. Developing the correct approach towards solving problems is more important than memorizing formulas.

Careers360: What are your tips for Physical Chemistry?

Aryan: Focus on understanding concepts through class notes. NCERT doesn't require repeated reading for Physical Chemistry. Practice questions regularly, especially from chapters like Ionic Equilibrium and Electrochemistry. Quality practice is more important than quantity.

Careers360: How should students prepare Inorganic Chemistry?
Aryan: Every line of the NCERT textbook is important. I revised NCERT multiple times and memorized almost everything. I didn't use any additional reference book for Inorganic Chemistry.

Careers360: What strategy did you follow for Organic Chemistry?

Aryan: I mainly relied on class notes and solved coaching assignments. NCERT was useful only for highlighting extra points. For additional practice, I referred to M.S. Chauhan.

Careers360: How did you prepare for Biology?

Aryan: Initially, I studied both class notes and NCERT. Closer to the exam, I focused almost entirely on NCERT because nearly all Biology questions come directly from it. I revised NCERT repeatedly until every important line became familiar.

Careers360: How did you remember formulas and important facts?

Aryan: During the final month, I covered my room with sticky notes containing Biology summaries, Chemistry concepts, and Physics formulas. Seeing them every day helped me remember everything effortlessly.

Careers360: How was the Re-NEET 2026 paper different from the original NEET 2026 exam?

Aryan: The original paper was very straightforward and lacked a differentiating factor. In contrast, the Re-NEET paper had much better-quality Physics and Chemistry questions. Physics was almost at the level of JEE Main, and many questions required conceptual understanding instead of direct formula application.

Careers360: Did you lose momentum during the gap between the cancelled exam and the re-exam?

Aryan: Yes. It took around 8–10 days to regain my study momentum because my mind had almost shut down after two years of intense preparation. Gradually, I got back into my routine.

Careers360: How did your family support you throughout your preparation?

Aryan: My parents and brother were my biggest support system. Whenever I felt stressed, they reminded me that tests are meant to identify mistakes, not define my abilities. My father even sat beside me while I studied to keep me accountable, and my brother regularly checked my progress over phone calls.

Careers360: How did your teachers contribute to your success?

Aryan: My teachers were incredibly supportive. They answered my doubts even late at night and continued motivating me throughout my preparation.

Careers360: What was your daily study routine?

Aryan: After classes, I used to take a short nap. Then I revised everything taught that day, along with previous lessons, ensuring continuous revision. I also made sure to get around 7–7.5 hours of sleep every day.

Careers360: How did you deal with stress and burnout?

Aryan: Whenever I felt stressed, I spoke to my parents or my brother. If I felt burnt out, I simply took a short break, went out, or had ice cream before getting back to studying.

Careers360: What are three mistakes NEET aspirants should avoid?

Aryan: Minimize social media and unnecessary screen time.

Don't take unnecessary stress because stress never improves marks.

Focus only on what is under your control and leave the rest.

Careers360: What advice would you give to students entering Class 11?

Aryan: Trust your teachers completely. Avoid getting confused by YouTube videos and multiple study strategies. Simply follow your coaching teachers sincerely.

Careers360: How helpful are mock tests?

Aryan: NEET mock tests expose you to different question patterns and improve your time management. If you treat every mock test like the actual NEET exam, the real exam feels much less stressful.

Careers360: How important is a healthy friend circle?

Aryan: It's extremely important. Your friends should support and motivate you instead of competing with you. A good friend circle helps reduce stress and keeps your mind fresh.

Careers360: Which medical colleges are you targeting?

Aryan: My first choice is AIIMS Delhi. Before the re-exam, I was also considering MAMC Delhi and Safdarjung Medical College.

Careers360: What factors should students consider while selecting a medical college?

Aryan: Students should consider patient exposure, infrastructure, modern equipment, experienced faculty, and overall clinical experience.

Careers360: Which books did you use apart from NCERT?

Aryan: Physics: DC Pandey, H.C. Verma, JEE Main PYQs

    Physical Chemistry: N. Awasthi

    Organic Chemistry: M.S. Chauhan

    Biology: MTG Fingertips

Careers360: What are your thoughts on NEET 2027 being conducted in CBT mode?

Aryan: CBT mode will eliminate OMR-related mistakes, which is a big advantage. However, conducting multiple shifts may create variations in paper difficulty and percentile calculation.

Careers360: How did you manage your time during the Re-NEET examination?

Aryan: I convinced myself that it was just another mock test. I solved Physics first (about 65–70 minutes), then Chemistry (45–50 minutes), and finally Biology (40–45 minutes). I filled out the OMR sheet at the end, which took around 15 minutes.
