The Commissionerate of India Medicine and Homeopathy, Chennai conducts the Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling 2024 for BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, and BHMS courses in offline mode. As per the latest update, the authority will conduct the Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling 2024 from October 21 to 29. The Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling for 15% AIQ seats will be conducted by the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC), whereas, the Commissionarate of India Medicine and Homeopathy, Chennai conducts the counselling for the 85% Tamil Nadu quota seats.

Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling 2024 eligibility criteria

Candidates who wish to get admission to AYUSH courses through the Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling 2024 must fulfil the following eligibility criteria -

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India. For the 85% state quota seat, the candidate must be a native citizen of Tamil Nadu.

  • The candidate must have attained a minimum age of 17 years as of December 31, 2024.

  • The candidates must have qualified for the NEET UG exam by securing a minimum of 50th percentile marks. Candidates belonging to the reserved category need to secure at least the 45th percentile.

  • The candidates are required to pass their 10 + 2 standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have scored a minimum of 50% marks (40% for the reserved category students)

  • For admission to the BUMS, candidates should have passed Urdu, Arabic or Persian language as one of the subjects in class 10 or class 12 (if not then candidates will be required to study the Urdu language as a subject during the first professional BUMS session)

  • For the BSMS course, the candidate should have either studied the Tamil language up to class 10 or class 12 or must be prepared to study the Tamil language in the first year of the BSMS programme.

Candidates appearing for the Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling 2024 need to register for the counselling process by filling out the registration form offline. Candidates will be required to fill the complete form and attest supporting documents with the duly filled application form. Some key points regarding the Tamil Nadu AYUSH counselling 2024 are given below.

  • The Tamil Nadu AYUSH application form 2024 for admission to BSMS / BAMS / BUMS / BHMS degree courses can be downloaded from the official website, tnhealth.tn.gov.in.

  • Candidates should submit their downloaded duly filled-in application form of Tamil Nadu AYUSH with all the required supporting documents
