    The NEET 2026 paper leak was carried out through a well-planned network involving exam insiders, coaching centres, middlemen, and distributors across different states. As per the CBI investigation, the NEET 2026 question paper was leaked 10 days before the exam and sold to selected students for huge amounts of money. Here are the complete step-wise details on how the NEET 2026 paper leak happened.

    Step 1: How the NEET 2026 Question Paper Was Stolen (April 15 - April 22, 2026)

    The NEET 2026 paper leak started from inside the National Testing Agency (NTA), where some experts had access to the confidential question papers.

    • P. V. Kulkarni - PV Kulkarni was a Chemistry subject expert working with the NTA. According to investigators, he secretly copied the Chemistry questions from the official question paper.

    • Manisha Gurunath Mandhare - Manisha Gurunath Mandhare was the NTA’s expert for setting the question paper of Biology. She allegedly leaked the Botany and Zoology questions from the official question paper.

    • Manisha Waghmare - Manisha Waghmare who runs a beauty salon in Pune acted as the middlewoman. She collected the leaked questions from P.V. Kulkarni and Manisha Gurunath Mandhare and connected them with people willing to buy the paper.

    Step 2: Coaching Centre Bought the Paper (April 23, 2026)

    The next step in the NEET 2026 paper leak process was through the involvement of a coaching centre who bought the leaked question paper.

    • Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar - Popularly known as “M Sir”, Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar is the owner of Renukai Career Centre (RCC) Classes in Latur. He allegedly bought the leaked paper around 10 days before the NEET 2026 exam. As per CBI inquiry, he funded the leak operation and planned how the paper would be distributed secretly to students connected with his coaching network.

    Step 3: Making Digital Copies and Hiding the Leak (April 24 - April 28, 2026)

    After getting the leaked paper, the group converted it into digital files to spread it more easily without attracting attention.

    • Dhananjay Lokhande - Dhananjay Lokhande reportedly carried handwritten copies of the leaked questions between different cities to avoid online tracking.

    • Shubham Khairnar - Shubham Khairnar typed the leaked questions of Chemistry and Biology into a digital PDF file. To hide the real paper, he mixed the actual questions inside a large “400-question guess paper” document.

    Step 4: Selling the Leaked NEET 2026 Paper Across States (April 29 - May 2, 2026)

    Once the PDF was ready, the leaked paper of NEET 2026 was sold to distributors in different states.

    • Yash Yadav - Yash Yadav, a first year BAMS student allegedly handled sales in Gurugram, Haryana, and Delhi-NCR. He targeted wealthy students and families willing to pay large amounts for the leaked paper.

    • Dinesh Biwal - Based in Rajasthan, Dinesh Biwal reportedly printed hard copies of the leaked NEET question paper 2026 and supplied them to coaching groups in Sikar and Jaipur.

    • Mangilal Biwal - Mangilal Biwal is accused of paying around Rs. 10 lakh to get a leaked copy of the answer key for his son before the exam.

    Step 5: Final Distribution Before the Exam (May 3, 2026)

    Vivek Patil - Vivek Patil is one of the accused in the NEET 2026 paper leak who received the leaked question paper. On the morning of the NEET 2026 exam on May 3, 2026, selected students were reportedly taken to a safe location where they were shown the leaked paper and asked to memorise answers before entering the NEET exam centres.
