As per the latest tweet by officials, NTA has cancelled the NEET 2026 to maintain consistency with its standing commitment to fair, secure, and credible conduct. NTA will reconduct the NEET exam 2026. NTA will announce the Re NEET exam dates soon.

    Reports claim that around 140 questions in the NEET UG 2026 exam matched questions from a “guess paper” found by investigation agencies in Rajasthan. After these reports surfaced, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released an official statement through its NTA NEET press release 2026 at neet.nta.nic.in saying the matter is being investigated.

    The NTA in its press release also said the exam was conducted with strict NEET 2026 security measures at all exam centres. According to media reports, several people from Rajasthan and Uttarakhand have been detained in connection with the alleged leak case. Amid rising concerns over the alleged NEET exam malpractice 2026 and the ongoing discussion around the NEET 2026 scam, many students are asking, will there be re NEET 2026.     Will There Be Re NEET 2026

    One of the biggest concerns among students is whether the NEET UG 2026 exam will be cancelled or reconducted. The NTA has said that the investigation into the NEET 2026 paper leak controversy is still going on and no final decision has been made yet.

    The agency explained that any future action will depend on the findings of investigation agencies and discussions with the Ministry of Education. At present, there is no official announcement about cancelling the NEET 2026 exam or conducting a re-NEET 2026 for students.

    Re NEET 2024

    Following the controversy over grace marks in the NEET UG 2024 exam, the NTA conducted a re-NEET 2024 on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 affected candidates after directions from the Supreme Court. Out of these, 813 students appeared for the re-NEET exam. The NEET 2024 re-exam was conducted to ensure fairness and remove confusion regarding the awarded grace marks. After the revised results were announced on July 1, 2024, the number of AIR 1 rank holders reduced from 67 to 61. Candidates who skipped the re-test retained their original scores without grace marks. The final revised scorecards were later released on July 26, 2024.

    The NEET 2026 paper leak controversy started after several reports claimed that many questions in the NEET UG 2026 exam were similar to questions shared in a “guess paper” before the exam. The NEET exam was held on May 3, 2026, at 551 exam cities across India. According to reports, investigation agencies found a document containing more than 300 questions, and nearly 140 of them were exactly the same as asked in the NEET 2026 question paper.

    After this news spread, students and parents began discussing the possibility of a NEET 2026 paper leak on social media and online platforms. However, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not officially confirmed any paper leak so far. The agency has said that the investigation is still going on and asked students not to believe rumours or make conclusions too early.

    NTA Press Release NEET 2026: Official Statement on Alleged NEET Exam Malpractice 2026

    In its official statement, the National Testing Agency (NTA) said that the NEET UG 2026 exam was conducted with strong security arrangements and close monitoring at all NEET 2026 exam centres. The agency explained that question papers were transported in GPS-tracked vehicles and contained special watermark codes for tracking.

    Moreover, AI-based CCTV cameras were used to monitor exam centres, while biometric verification was done for all candidates. The NTA also said that 5G jammers were installed to stop electronic communication during the exam. According to the agency, the examination on May 3 was conducted smoothly and normally across all centres in the country.

    NEET UG 2026 Investigation Details: NEET 2026 Irregularities Rajasthan

    The NTA revealed that it received inputs related to alleged NEET exam malpractice 2026 on the evening of May 7, 2026, four days after the exam. The information was then shared with central agencies on May 8 for verification and further action.

    Law enforcement agencies have since initiated investigations, and several detentions have been reported in Rajasthan in connection with the case. Authorities are examining whether any organised network was involved in circulating exam-related material before the test. The agency also stated that it is cooperating fully with investigators by providing technical support and examination-related data.

    Impact on NEET 2026 Students

    This alleged paper leak controversy of NEET 2026 has increased stress and confusion among the students who appeared for the examination. Although, NTA in its statement has said that honest students who worked hard for the exam should not worry, as their efforts will be respected and protected, several students still fear that if this paper leak is actually true, they might miss out on their chances to the fullest.

    Several students who were earlier happy by calculating their marks based on the provisional answer key of NEET 2026 and already started searching for the colleges based on their performance now fear that they might miss out this opportunity if NEET 2026 is cancelled or conducted again.
