    Palmately Compound leaves: In these types of leaves, the leaflets are attached at a common point, i.e., at the tip of the petiole. For example, silk cotton. These can be further divided on the basis of the number of leaflets:

    a) Unifoliate palmately compound leaves: with a single leaflet, for example, citrus (lemon).
    b) Bifoliate palmately compound leaves: with two leaflets, for example, butterfly tree.
    c) Trifoliate palmately compound leaves: with three leaflets, for example, clover.
    d) Quadrifoliate palmately compound leaves: with four leaflets, for example, oxalis.
