Careers360: Can you share a little about your academic background and what brought you to this institution?

Simran Sanjay Nechwani: I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) at East Point College of Physiotherapy. While exploring colleges, I wanted an institution that offered strong academics along with practical learning. East Point stood out because of its experienced faculty, excellent clinical exposure, modern infrastructure, and student-friendly environment. I felt it would provide the right platform to develop both my professional skills and personal confidence. Looking back, I’m happy with my decision because the learning experience has been enriching, and every day brings new opportunities to grow as a future healthcare professional.

Careers360: How welcoming was the campus during your initial days, and what was your first impression of EPGI?

Simran Sanjay Nechwani: As I come from Maharashtra, I was initially a little anxious about adjusting to a new city and college environment. However, those worries disappeared within the first few days at East Point. The faculty, seniors, and classmates were incredibly welcoming, supportive, and always ready to help. Since students come here from all across India, the campus truly feels like a "Mini India," making it easy to connect with people from different backgrounds. Bengaluru's vibrant, multicultural atmosphere also made me feel at home. The beautiful green campus, positive environment, and friendly community made my transition smooth, memorable, and enjoyable.

Careers360: What clubs, student organisations, or extracurricular activities can students participate in?

Simran Sanjay Nechwani: East Point offers plenty of opportunities for students to explore their interests beyond academics. We can participate in cultural clubs, sports teams, student associations, health awareness campaigns, seminars, workshops, research activities, and annual college festivals. One of the biggest highlights is Samskruthi, East Point's national-level intercollegiate cultural festival, which brings together talented students from across the country. The festival has also featured celebrated performers like Sunidhi Chauhan and Sonu Nigam, making it an unforgettable experience. These activities help us build leadership, teamwork, communication, and confidence while creating lifelong memories and friendships.

Careers360: What has your hostel life experience been like, and what facilities are available for resident students?

Simran Sanjay Nechwani: I haven't stayed in the college hostel. I initially lived in a PG and later moved to a flat near the campus. Even as an off-campus student, my experience has been very comfortable because of the institution's supportive environment and convenient location. Many of my friends stay in the hostel and often appreciate the clean rooms, nutritious meals, Wi-Fi, study spaces, and round-the-clock security. From what I've seen, the hostel provides a safe, comfortable, and student-friendly environment that allows residents to focus on both academics and personal growth.

Careers360: How does the university encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, or passion projects outside the classroom?

Simran Sanjay Nechwani: East Point encourages students to think beyond the classroom by providing opportunities to participate in workshops, conferences, research activities, guest lectures, and skill-development programmes. Students are motivated to present research, join competitions, and explore innovative ideas in their areas of interest. These experiences help us develop creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence. The institution also inspires us to keep learning beyond textbooks, making education more practical, engaging, and relevant to our future careers.

Simran Sanjay Nechwani: Student safety and well-being are given great importance at East Point. The campus has round-the-clock security, CCTV surveillance, anti-ragging measures, and medical support whenever required. The faculty members are approachable and genuinely care about students' academic and personal well-being. The institution also promotes a healthy lifestyle through sports, wellness activities, counselling support, and a positive learning environment. Knowing that these support systems are always available allows students to focus on their studies with confidence and peace of mind.
