Admission to MBBS/BDS seats in Punjab will be granted under the following criteria.
15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats: Admission to 15% All India Quota seats reserved in government colleges in the state will be granted through centralised NEET counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET 2026 counselling for 15% AIQ seats.
Central/Deemed universities/AIIMS institutions: MCC will be responsible for granting admission to all the seats in central, deemed, and AIIMS institutions in the state through NEET-UG counselling.
85% state quota seats: Admission to 85% seats reserved under state quota in government colleges in the state will be granted by BFUHS through state counselling. Admission to all seats in private colleges will also be granted through state NEET 2026 counselling.

Age: The Applicant must be at least 17 years old as of December 31, 2026, to apply for Punjab NEET admission.
Academic qualification: Candidates must have passed/appeared for class 12 qualifying examinations. General category students must score a minimum of 50% marks, while OBC/SC/ST candidates must score at least 45% marks in class 12 exams.
Subjects studied: Students must compulsorily study Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology in class 12.
