    NTA has opened the correction window for NEET 2026 on March 12, 2026. Candidates can edit their details in the NEET application form 2026 till March 14, 2026 (11:50 PM). Editing basic details through the correction window NEET 2026 does not require any additional fee. Aspirants can simply access the NEET candidate login and update the permitted fields. However, an additional NEET correction window 2026 fee is charged if the correction results in a change in the application fee category. For instance, if a candidate changes their category from lower fee to a higher fee, they will have to pay the difference in the NEET 2026 application fee.

    NEET 2026 correction window: Where additional fee is to be paid?

    Candidates have to pay an additional fee in case of changing their category. Some of the instances where candidates have to pay NEET correction window 2026 fees are:

    • If a candidate updates his/her category from OBC or General-EWS to General, he/she has to pay a difference amount of Rs 100 as NEET 2026 correction window charges.

    • In case a candidate updated his/her category from SC/ST/PwD to OBC/ General-EWS or General, he/she has to pay a difference amount of Rs 600 or Rs 700 respectively.

    If the correction in the NEET 2026 application form requires payment of an additional amount, candidates have to follow the below mentioned steps:

    Changing category from higher to lower: Will NEET fees 2026 be refunded?

    If a candidate changes their category from a higher fee category to a lower fee category during the NEET correction window, the excess application fee paid earlier will not be refunded. The authority clearly mentions in the information brochure that NEET 2026 form fees once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances. This implies that even if a candidate updates their category from General to OBC, SC, ST, PwD or General-EWS during the NEET 2026 correction window, the extra amount already paid will not be refunded.
