J & K MBBS Application Form 2018 
- Jammu and Kashmir MBBS BDS admission process started with the release of application form on June 13, 2018. The mode of application form of J & K MBBS 2018 is online only. Candidates who wish to apply for the 100% state quota seats of Jammu and Kashmir need to fill in the J & K MBBS 2018 application form. All the candidates who have obtained the NEET UG qualifying percentile and have uploaded the documents online by filling the J & K MBBS application form 2018 will be included in the provisional state merit list. Such candidates are required to fill in the J & K MBBS 2018 application form, also known as preference form, online.

The filling up of J & K application form 2018 makes the candidates eligible to attend the various online counselling sessions and subsequent admission to J& K MBBS 2018. By submitting the application form for J & K MBBS 2018, candidates would be applying to a total of 500 medical and 300 dental seats in the government and private colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. The last date for filling up of J & K MBBS application form 2018 is June 19, 2018. The admission of the candidates to J & K MBBS 2018 will be based on the NEET UG score and the preference selected while filling up the J & K 2018 MBBS application form.

J & K MBBS BDS 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates must be citizens of India.

  • The candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018.

  • The candidates applying for J & K MBBS BDS 2018 should not be more than 25 years of age as on May 7, 2018.

  • Candidates must be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

  • Candidates applying for J & K MBBS BDS 2018 must have qualified in the class 12 examination from a recognised institution of the state.

  • Candidates are also required to obtain 50% marks in aggregate in case of general category and 40% in aggregate for reserved categories. Physically challenged candidates (Persons with Disability), under the open merit category, will be considered if they have scored 45% in Class 12 exam in accordance with disability prescribed in MCI regulations.

  • Candidates applying under sports, Children of Defense Personnel, Poor and Backward categories will be considered only if they have scored a minimum of 50 percentile marks/qualifying score in the NEET 2018.

  • Candidates also have to secure the minimum required percentile in the NEET UG examination for admission to J & K MBBS 2018.

Steps to fill the J & K MBBS Application Form 2018

The steps to be followed when applying for Jammu and Kashmir MBBS Counselling 2018 are as follows:

 

STEP 1 – Filling up of online Preference form

  • Candidates must keep the following information handy before they start filling up the J & K MBBS 2018 application form

  1. NEET Application Number

  2. NEET Marks

  3. NEET Rank

  4. State Category

  • Candidates need to click on ‘Sign Up’ link available on the official website of J & K MBBS 2018 and register by filling up the “Sign Up” form. After filling up of all the details asked the user is required to click on ‘Submit’ button. In case of any mistakes, one can click on “Edit” button shown at the bottom, make changes and then click on “Submit” button again.

  • The application number of the NEET UG examination is the Username in the J & K MBBS application form 2018 which would be displayed on providing the correct information and submission. Also, an email would be sent to the email id provided by the candidate.

  • Candidates must activate the account by clicking on the activation link provided and by entering the “OTP” provided in the mail and also generate a new password for the account. Candidates will not be able to login unless the account is activated. For further login to the J & K MBBS 2018 portal, candidates need to provide the username and password set during account activation.

 STEP 2 – Filling the Application Form

  • After providing the registration details, candidates can fill the online application form of J & K MBBS 2018 by filling in their personal, contact, academic and NEET details as displayed in the online preference form.

  • For selection of preferences while filling up the J & K MBBS 2018 application form,

  1. Candidates are required to click on “Subject” link after logging in to the official website of J & K MBBS 2018.

  2. Select disciplines from “disciplines available box” and then click on “Select” button.

  3. Candidates are advised to select disciplines as per their preferences from “disciplines available box” and clicking on “>>” button to set their preferences, disciplines chosen will be shown in the “disciplines assigned box” with preference selected.

  4. If a candidate wants to remove the preference he/she can do so by selecting the preference from “disciplines assigned box” and clicking on “<<” button.

  5. Preferences select by the candidate will be saved automatically; candidate will get the operations performed by him/her whenever he/she logs in to the Application.

  6. Candidate can also see the preview of the preferences selected by him/her by clicking on “Preview” button and can also take the print out of the same for their for their benefit.

  7. Candidate can add and delete preferences anytime but before the last date and before locking their preferences for J & K MBBS 2018. The preferences will be taken into account for admission of students.

STEP 3 – Editing and Submission

  • After filling all the information, the online registration form appears with already filled-in details which the candidates can edit if need be.

  • Candidates are advised to verify the entries made before finally submitting the application form and finally click on ‘Submit’ button. 

  • Candidates are not allowed any changes/modifications to the registration details after finally submitting the J & K MBBS 2018 application form.

  • Candidates can take printout of the J & K MBBS application form 2018 by clicking “Print Your Details” for future use as the form is needed for the counselling as well as admission process

STEP 4 – Payment of Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the application fee as a final step towards submitting of the application form of J & K MBBS 2018. The application fee break up of for the various categories is  given below:

The process for counselling of J & K MBBS 2018 will start after the submitting of the application for J & K MBBS 2018. The result of counselling for each round will be published after each round in the J & K MBBS 2018 website. Candidates can change their preferences in the J & K MBBS application form 2018 after the first round of counselling. Candidates who have been allotted seats can also opt for choice upgradation in the application form of J & K MBBS 2018.

Yes. You can apply for private colleges. The only restriction for J&K state quota students is that they cannot apply for All India counselling.
