J&K NEET 2026 merit list: Tie-breaking criteria

In case two or more candidates obtain the same marks in NEET, then the regulatory authority prepares the J&K NEET 2026 merit list by using the tie-breaking method.

• The candidate obtaining higher marks in biology is considered first in the J&K MBBS admission.

• If the tie persists, the candidate with higher marks in chemistry is considered for admission.

• If the tie is still not resolved, the medical aspirant applicants with the lesser number of wrong attempts are given preference for J&K MBBS/BDS 2026 admission.

• After using all these factors, if the tie persists, then the candidate older in age is considered first.
