Negative marking in NEET 2025

NEET negative marking scheme is an integral feature of the NEET 2025 exam which intends to discourage guesswork. As per the marking scheme, for every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from the candidate’s total score. While unanswered questions incur no penalty, leaving questions blank is often considered a safer option than making random guesses.

Is the NEET 2025 marking scheme same for all the subjects?

Yes, the NEET marking scheme is the same for all subjects. Whether a candidate is answering questions in Physics, Chemistry or Biology, the marking system follows a uniform approach. Each correct answer earns 4 marks, while an incorrect response results in a deduction of 1 mark. Unanswered questions do not incur any penalty and are simply marked as 0.

Hello,

Yes, you can crack NEET UG in 5 months if you study with full focus and a proper plan. Many students have done it before. What matters is consistency and smart preparation.

Here are some quick tips:

  • Know the syllabus well. Focus only on NCERT, especially for Biology.

  • Make a realistic timetable. Give more time to weak areas.

  • Revise daily. Don’t skip revision, even if it’s for 30 minutes.

  • Solve previous years’ papers. This helps you understand question patterns.

  • Take mock tests regularly. Analyze your mistakes and improve.

  • Stay healthy and positive. Avoid stress and distractions.

If you stay disciplined and study 8–10 hours daily with the right strategy, 5 months are enough to score well.

Hello,

If your migration certificate is in Hindi, it may not be accepted directly by Karnataka government colleges during NEET counselling . Documents are usually required in English.

You should get the migration certificate officially translated into English by an authorized translator or the issuing board/university. Then, get it attested by the concerned authority.

It’s best to carry both the original Hindi certificate and the attested English translation during document verification.
