Admission to dental colleges in the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course is done through marks obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The Dental Council of India (DCI) is the authority to regularise BDS admissions in India. The Ministry of Education (MoE) has released a list of top dental colleges in India. As per the NIRF 2025 ranking, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi has secured rank 1 followed by Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Chennai and Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, Delhi securing rank 2 and 3 respectively.
