UP CNET Counselling 2026: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to participate in the UP CNET counselling can be checked from the points below.

• Candidates must have passed class 12 and must have obtained at least 45 % (General category) aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects and also passed in English subjects individually.

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category must have secured 40% marks in class 12 in the above subjects.

• Candidates must be medically fit.

• Married candidates are also eligible to participate in the UP CNET counselling 2026.

• Candidates must be 17 years of age as on December 31 of the year of admission.

Step 1: CNET Counselling Registration 2026

• Go to the official website: abvumuup.edu.in.

• Login using CNET registration ID and password.

• Fill in personal details such as candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category, sub-category and address.

• Upload the required documents such as class 10 and 12 marksheet, domicile, certificate and category certificate.

• Fill in gender details.

• Deposit the registration fee.

• Review and save the filled details.

Step 2: CNET Counselling 2026 UP: Choice Filling And Locking
Candidates have to fill the choices of colleges during UP CNET counselling 2026. Choices must be filled as per the UP CNET seat matrix. Candidates can fill as many choices as they want. Aspirants must lock their preferences on or before the UP CNET 2026 counselling choice filling last date otherwise the choices get locked automatically.

Step 3: Uttar Pradesh CNET Counselling 2026: Seat Allotment

The UP CNET 2026 counselling seat allotment result is announced in online mode. The seat allotment is done based on the rank obtained in the UP CNET 2026 merit list and choices made by the candidates. Candidates who are allotted seats in round 1 UP CNET counselling 2026 have to choose any one of the following options:

Option 1: ACCEPT allotted seat and DO NOT WISH TO PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of Counselling (Freeze)

Option 2: ACCEPT allotted seat and WANTS TO UPGRADE AND PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of Counselling (Float)

Option 3: DECLINE allotted seat and WANT TO PARTICIPATE in Round 2 of Counselling (Decline)

Candidates allotted seats during UP CNET 2026 counselling have to report at the institutes to complete the admission formalities. Candidates who choose Option 1 or 2 are required to deposit the seat confirmation fee of Rs 40,000. Aspirants must carry the original documents for verification during UP CNET 2026 counselling reporting.
