Hello,

The NEET 2025 counselling process for college selection involves several key steps:

  • Counselling Authorities :

    • The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) manages 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats, deemed universities, and central institutions.
    • State counselling authorities handle 85% state quota seats and private colleges within their respective states.
  • Counselling Rounds :

    • MCC conducts four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round.
    • State counselling procedures may vary; consult the specific state authority for details.
  • Registration :

    • Candidates must register online on the MCC website or their respective state counselling portals.
    • Registration includes providing personal details, NEET roll number, and payment of counselling fees.
  • Choice Filling and Locking :

    • After registration, candidates select and prioritize preferred colleges and courses.
    • Choices must be locked within the specified timeframe to be considered for seat allotment.
  • Seat Allotment and Reporting :

    • Seats are allocated based on NEET rank, reservation criteria, and chosen preferences.
    • Candidates allotted a seat must report to the designated college within the given period for document verification and admission.

Hope you find it useful !

If you have already joined a seat through NEET PG All India Round 3 counseling and now secured a better seat in your state’s Round 3 counseling, you may be able to resign from the All India seat. However, rules vary based on the counseling authority’s guidelines. Check if resigning incurs any penalty or affects eligibility. Ensure proper resignation procedures are followed to avoid issues. Always refer to official notifications or contact the authorities before making a decision.
