The Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) conducts a yearly exam for admission to the MBBS course in its two campuses – Puducherry and Karaikal. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Exam Pattern

JIPMER MBBS 2018 is to be held in an online mode as a Computer Based Test (CBT). Negative marking has been introduced in JIPMER MBBS, for the first time. The entrance exam of JIPMER MBBS comprises 200 single-best-response type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four choices in each question. JIPMER Puducherry prepares the syllabus JIPMER MBBS 2018 based on the curriculum followed by various State Higher Secondary Boards and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for Classes 11 and 12. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Requirements

The test-takers of JIPMER MBBS 2018 are mandatorily required to carry the following items mentioned when reporting to the exam centre as per the JIPMER MBBS exam day guidelines 2018. 

The authorities at the exam centre will collect the biometric data (digital photo and fingerprints) and hard copy of the signature of all the candidates inside the examination hall. The things that the candidates must carry along include:

Candidates must note that according to the exam day guidelines of JIPMER MBBS 2018, no other ID proof except the ones mentioned will be accepted at the examination centre.

 

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Barred Items

Candidates must not carry certain items to the examination centre keeping the JIPMER MBBS exam day guidelines 2018 in mind. Candidates found in the possession of such items inside the examination hall will be prohibited from undertaking the test and cause cancellation of their candidature. The exam day guidelines of JIPMER MBBS 2018 lists a range of items that are candidates must not possess.

  • Electronic devices (e.g. mobile phones, smart/programmable watches, smartphones, calculators, iPAD, tabs, electronic watches, etc.),

  • Slide rule, log books, study material of any type, geometry box, written or white (blank) paper/piece of paper, wallets, etc.

  • Ornaments, head gear, hair band, hair clips, belt, bags, credit cards and debit card.

The examination centre will not make provisions for storing such objects if brought by the candidates and handed over.

 

JIPMER MBBS 2018 Exam Day Guidelines – Dos and Don’ts

Reach the examination centre as per the reporting time to facilitate a smooth entry process.

Attempt to copy from other candidates as it could lead to disqualification.

Remember to carry the admit card, valid photo identity proof (as mentioned) and a photocopy of the valid ID

Forget to sign in the attendance sheet and affix the Left Index Finger impression against the appropriate column of the attendance sheet.

Cooperate with the authorities during the process of security check

Try to note down the questions during the exam as it is considered to be a criminal act.

Display the JIPMER MBBS admit card 2018 to the authorities on demand

Converse with anyone else other than the invigilator(s).

Get the signature and seal of invigilator or representative of exam venue on their JIPMER MBBS admit card 2018

Leave the exam hall without handing over the photocopy of the ID card to the invigilator.
