JIPMER MBBS 2017 exam day guideline –
JIPMER MBBS 2017 was to be conducted on June 4 by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry for admission to 200 MBBS seats. JIPMER MBBS 2017 will be conducted in the online mode at 75 cities across India.

JIPMER MBBS 2017 reporting time and exam schedule: Candidates are advised to report to their allotted exam centres latest by 7.30 am so that formalities like Biometrics and Photo capture can be done within the time frame. Biometric authentication of all candidates will be done through digital device and hard copy of signature and fingerprint in attendance sheet will be taken.

12:30 pm (candidate will not be permitted to leave the exam hall before 12:30 pm)

Material to be taken to JIPMER MBBS examination hall: Admit Card and Id Proof

Candidates have to carry their JIPMER MBBS 2017 admit card in original. No candidate will be allowed to take the examination without valid hall ticket. Candidates must carry any of the valid ID proof to the examination hall.

ID Proof
- Passport / Driving License / Bank Passbook with Photograph / Photo Identify proof issued by a Gazetted Officer / School Principal (on official Letterhead), Aadhar Card with Photograph and Domicile Certificate with Photo / Mark sheet with Photograph.


ID Proof other than mentioned above will not be permitted /accepted under any circumstances


Do not bring any other papers except hall ticket and valid identity proof and photocopy of the same ID proof. The examination authority has asked candidates not to bring pens, calculators, slide rules, log tables, geometry box, electronic digital watches with facilities of calculators, cellular phones, pagers or any other electronic gadgets, etc. because no arrangements will be made for safe keeping the gadgets if brought.


Candidates will be subjected to thorough frisking before being allowed into the examination hall:

  • Biometric finger print and image capture will be done for every candidate inside the examination hall

  • Candidates will be subjected to thorough frisking before being allowed into the hall at the stipulated time

  • The candidate must show, on demand, the JIPMER MBBS 2017 hall ticket for at the time entering to the examination hall. A candidate who does not possess the valid hall ticket issued by the JIPMER shall not be admitted to the examination hall under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent

  • During the examination, the invigilator will check hall ticket of the candidates to satisfy himself/herself about the identity of each candidate.

  • The examination will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) / online therefore candidates are advised to check their seating plan and Identify the Room / Lab allotted to their roll number

  • The candidate must sign in the attendance sheet at the appropriate place and affix the Left Index Finger impression against the appropriate column of the attendance sheet. Failure to comply to this requirement will lead to the annulling of their candidature without any prior intimation

JIPMER MBBS 2017 Paper attempting strategy: Importance of time management

Toppers and experts advise that candidates must attempt the JIPMER MBBS question paper section-wise based on their strength and weakness. Toppers suggests that  attempt those section first in which you are strong as it eases exam pressure and boost confidence level.

Time management is the most important factor towards scoring good marks in the exam. According to experts, the way you manage the 'crucial 2:30 hours' of JIPMER exam makes all the difference. He advises students to divide the allotted time among the three subjects equally and keep a few minutes reserved for revising answers.

Fee structure of MBBS programme varies college to college.

Government college has less fee structure in comparison to private colleges.
