Must Check: NEET 2025 Registration Last Date
The applicants must have a valid Aadhaar card. As per the NTA guidelines, the Aadhaar is mandatory for candidates appearing for NEET UG for both Indian and NRI candidates. The NTA has excluded the foreign candidates who do not possess an Aadhaar card. However, the concerned candidates must submit their government-authorised identity proof such as a passport and other documents to apply for the exam.
NEET Aadhaar integration serves as a unique identification to mandate the verification process and authenticity of applicants during the registration process. For NEET 2025, candidates need to fill out the personal details such as name, date of birth, address and gender exactly the same as mentioned in the Aadhaar. Candidates are required to enter their name, date of birth, gender and address as per the Aadhaar card details. Aadhaar must be valid and updated. The registered mobile number must be linked to their Aadhaar card for OTP-based verification during the registration of NEET 2025. In case of applicants who do not have an Aadhaar number, they should visit their respective Aadhaar enrollment centres before registering for NEET 2025.
Candidates are required to provide their Aadhaar number as a part of application details. This allows the auto-filling of information in the respective fields of NEET application form which reduces the human errors in the NEET form. Candidates must cross-check the auto- filled details to avoid cancellation if errors existed in the later stages.
The NTA uses the Aadhaar besides other details of students to create APAAR ID for NEET 2025. The digital ID card is a 12-digit code which helps to store and manage academic records of students.
The NTA conducts biometric attendance for students to grant entry in the NEET exam centres. The NEET biometric attendance 2025 is designed to ensure identity verification of candidates appearing for the exam. The measure will prevent fraudulent activities and enhance the security of the NEET 2025. Therefore, Aadhaar linked fingerprints or iris authentication must be updated to avoid the authentication failure.
