An expert committee has submitted some proposals in the Supreme Court in regard to the NEET exam pattern. The final decision is yet to come, let’s check the changes proposed by the experts.
Exam mode: NEET 2025 might transition toward online examinations wherever feasible. In regions where fully digital exams are not practical, a hybrid model could be implemented, incorporating digital question papers with handwritten answer submissions.
Multi-stage examination: Inspired by the JEE format, NEET could introduce a two-stage testing system. This approach would aim to enhance evaluation, improve candidate management, and ensure a fair testing process.
Number of attempts: The experts have proposed capping the number of attempts allowed for NEET to promote a more competitive atmosphere. Currently, there is no limit on the number of attempts.
Age limits: Recommendations also include setting specific age limits for candidates. Currently the minimum age limit is 17 years however, there is no maximum age limit.
