Questions related to NEET

Have a question related to NEET ?

In the context of the NEET application, the terms "10th marksheet" and "10th certificate" refer to two distinct documents:

  1. 10th Marksheet: This document details the marks or grades you obtained in each subject during your Class 10 examinations. It serves as an official record of your academic performance.

  2. 10th Certificate: Also known as the passing or matriculation certificate, this document certifies that you have successfully completed your Class 10 education. It typically includes your date of birth and other personal details, serving as proof of passing the examination.

It's important to note that some educational boards issue both documents separately, while others may provide only a marksheet that also serves as a passing certificate. For instance, certain boards do not provide a separate passing certificate; in such cases, the marksheet suffices for both purposes.

careers360.com

For the NEET application, if your educational board has issued both documents, you should upload both the 10th marksheet and the 10th certificate as per the application requirements. If only one document was provided by your board, it should be sufficient to meet the application criteria. Ensure that the scanned copies are clear and adhere to the specified size and format guidelines outlined in the NEET application instructions.

For detailed information on the required documents and their specifications, refer to the official NEET information bulletin or trusted educational resources.

For NEET counselling, you can use a central OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate to claim OBC benefits under the All India Quota (AIQ) seats; for state quota seats, you would need a state-issued OBC certificate depending on the specific state regulations.

To convert a Maharashtra state OBC certificate to a central OBC certificate, you need to apply to the designated authority in your district with your existing state OBC certificate, along with necessary supporting documents, and request a "Central OBC Certificate" specifying that you belong to a centrally listed OBC category i.e JAT this process usually involves submitting an application form and undergoing verification by the relevant government official.

Hello,

Your eligibility for the state quota under the SC category in Andhra Pradesh depends on a few key factors:

1. State Quota Criteria in Andhra Pradesh

To apply for the Andhra Pradesh state quota (85%) in NEET, you typically need to fulfill domicile/residence criteria, which usually include:

Completing education (10th & 12th) from Andhra Pradesh, OR

Proving permanent residence in Andhra Pradesh through a domicile/residence certificate issued by the state.

2. Caste Certificate Validity

Even though you hold an SC certificate from Rajasthan and a central SC certificate:

State Quota SC Reservations: Andhra Pradesh will only accept a state-issued SC certificate (from Andhra Pradesh authorities) for SC reservation under the state quota.

Central SC Certificate: This certificate will help you claim SC benefits for All India Quota (15%) but not for the Andhra Pradesh state quota.

Hello Rahul,

Since you have Maharashtra domicile , the Maharashtra authorities will not issue a Central OBC certificate because Jat is not recognized as OBC in Maharashtra.

However, you can get a Central OBC certificate from Rajasthan , where Jats are under the OBC category. This certificate will be valid for Central Government quota admissions , including All India Quota (AIQ) counselling in NEET .

Key Points:

  1. State OBC and Central OBC are different: Since Jats are not OBC in Maharashtra, you cannot get a Maharashtra OBC certificate.

  2. Central OBC certificate from Rajasthan is valid for AIQ: As long as the caste is listed under the Central OBC list, you can use it for NEET AIQ counselling.

  3. For Maharashtra State Quota, you will be treated as General: Since Maharashtra does not recognize Jats as OBC, you cannot claim OBC benefits in state quota seats.

You should apply for a Central OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate from Rajasthan and use it for NEET AIQ counselling .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
