SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre concluded PANACEA 2026, its flagship annual inter-medical cultural festival, held from June 18 to 20, 2026, at the Kattankulathur campus. Organised by the Zephyrians Student Council, the three-day festival brought together students from medicine, allied health sciences, and paramedical disciplines in a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity, leadership, and student excellence.
With participation from more than 20 medical colleges and over 3,000 students, PANACEA 2026 emerged as one of the region's most dynamic and widely attended inter-medical cultural festivals, fostering camaraderie, healthy competition, and collaborative learning among aspiring healthcare professionals.

Addressing the gathering during the inaugural ceremony, Dr T. Mythili, Additional Registrar, SRMMCHRC, emphasised the significance of holistic development among students, stating, “What you learn inside the classroom shapes students' careers. What you do outside the classroom shapes you as an individual for life.”
Highlighting the importance of cultural engagement in medical education, Prof. (Dr.) Jayanthi R., Dean (Medical), SRMMCHRC, remarked, “Medicine trains to heal the body and think critically. But culturals remind us of why we practice medicine: to connect, to comfort, and to celebrate the shared humanity.”
Over the course of three days, PANACEA 2026 featured a diverse array of cultural competitions, music concerts, dance performances, creative showcases, and student-led events that witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing institutions across the region. The festival served as a dynamic platform for aspiring healthcare professionals to showcase their talents beyond academics while fostering teamwork, leadership, collaboration, and community spirit.

Adding to the excitement, the festival welcomed an impressive lineup of renowned personalities from the fields of music, cinema, and entertainment. The guest appearances included acclaimed playback singer Karthik, Premgi Amaren and Band, Reshma Shyam, Diwakar, DJ Akram, DJ Goutam, Madonna Sebastian, Emaya, Sananth, Jiiva, M. Rajesh, Rukmini Vasanth, Ashok Selvan, Pari, Ramya, and Gopi of Parithabangal. Their performances and interactions energised the campus, creating memorable experiences for students and contributing to the festival's vibrant atmosphere.
The event culminated in a grand finale that celebrated outstanding performances and recognised the dedication of participants, volunteers, and organisers whose collective efforts ensured the success of PANACEA 2026.
