The authority has closed the registration and choice filling window of AYUSH counselling 2025 stray round. The seat allotment result will be declared on November 8, 2025. The AACCC AYUSH counselling 2025 will be conducted for 15% All India Quota UG (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) government seats of all States/ Union Territories, 100% UG (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) seats under Central Universities/ National Institutes, 100% UG (BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS) seats of all Deemed Universities. Only NEET UG qualified candidates can participate in AYUSH NEET counselling.

Candidates must score at least 50% marks in NEET to qualify for admission in AYUSH courses. Admission to AYUSH courses is granted based on the NEET 2025 scores; therefore, the eligibility criteria are similar to those released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). However, because every institute has its own specific eligibility criteria, candidates are advised to check the website of the respective institute to know their eligibility criteria. AYUSH Admission Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) conducts the counselling for AYUSH All India Quota seats, seats in government-aided institutes, central universities, national institutes, private colleges, and 100% seats in deemed universities. The authority conducts AYUSH NEET counselling in three rounds for 15% AIQ seats, followed by a stray vacancy round, which is conducted only for deemed/central universities and national institutes.
Aspirants need to fill out their choices of colleges and courses as per their preferences and lock them in before the last date of AYUSH counselling 2025 registration. If a candidate fails to lock the choices, then the filled choices are locked by default. The authority releases the AYUSH seat allotment list after the conclusion of each round. Admission through AYUSH Counselling 2025 is granted based on the filled preferences, availability of seats, NEET UG rank, reservation criteria, and other factors.
The AYUSH counselling 2025 along with other AYUSH courses is conducted for 85% of state quota seats. Admission to AYUSH courses is granted based on the NEET merit list wherein each state which offers AYUSH courses conducts its separate counselling. The respective state counselling committee sets the eligibility criteria for each state and thus may differ; therefore, the candidates should check the website of the particular institute they wish to take admission in.

While registering for AYUSH 2025 counselling, candidates have to pay two kinds of fee: non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security fee. The authority refunds the security fee to candidates after joining the allotted college. BAMS is a 5 and a half-year duration course. It is an amalgamation of modern medicines and traditional Ayurvedic methods. Admission to the BAMS course will be granted through BAMS counselling 2025, which will be conducted based on the NEET exam scores. BAMS includes the study of topics such as:

Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is an undergraduate degree course. It provides the knowledge in medical treatment through the homeopathic system to the students. Homeopathy is the study of medical treatments with the help of medicines made of highly diluted substances that activate the self-healing processes in the body. Only candidates who
registered in Round 1
can take part in Round 2.
You have to
log in with the same Round 1 ID and password
.
Then do
choice filling and locking
when the Round 2 window opens.
Candidates who did not register in Round 1 are not eligible for Round 2.
All Round 2 updates are released by DMET Odisha on the official counselling portal.

Although NEET and paramedical courses (nursing, lab tech etc.) share same core subjects of PCB but the syllabus for NEET is NOT identical with that of paramedical exams as they require extra sections of GK and aptitude that is beyond NEET.

Your plan to shift from online BCA to regular MCA is completely valid and acceptable. The gap years taken for NEET preparation will not affect MCA admission.
You should first try government colleges through exams like NIMCET or CUET-PG for better fees and placements. Top options include NITs, University of Hyderabad, JNU, and Delhi University.
If not, good private choices are VIT, Manipal, SRM, Amrita, and Christ University. Choose a college based on placements, fees, and industry exposure, not just the name.
