    The National Testing Agency (NTA) provides a correction window to make necessary corrections in the application form of students. The NEET 2026 application form could be filled till March 11, and the correction window for NEET 2026 is available from March 12 to 14, 2026. Many students who make mistakes in their fingerprints must be wondering, "Can we change fingerprints in NEET correction window". The answer is "NO". NTA does not allow any kind of corrections in the fingerprint.

    Can we change fingerprint in NEET correction window 2026?

    No! Students cannot change their fingerprints and thumb impression in the NEET 2026 correction window. The correction window for NEET 2026 only allows corrections in some specific fields.

    Once the fingerprint has been captured during the application process of NEET 2026, it is stored in the system for verification. Biometric data, including fingerprints, is intended to ensure that there is no impersonation or cheating during the exam. Given the importance of maintaining the integrity and security of the examination process, NTA does not allow candidates to modify their biometric data, including fingerprints, after submission.

    With the NEET correction window 2026, candidates must be wondering, “What can we change in NEET correction window 2026”? Through the correction window of NEET 2026, candidates can only correct some of the specific details. Below are the details of the fields that can be corrected and the fields that can’t be corrected through the NEET UG correction window 2026.

    1. Registered email ID and mobile number

    2. Aadhaar number or other identity proof

    3. Uploaded documents and images such as Passport and postcard size photograph, thumb and fingerprint impressions

    NEET fingerprint correction

    If any applicant realises that there has been an error in their submitted fingerprint and thumb impression during the NEET 2026 registration, such as it being unclear or not captured correctly, it's important to address the issue as soon as possible. Students are advised to follow the instructions given below.

    • Check application details: Review the application form carefully to ensure there were no issues with your fingerprint during the initial submission. If the fingerprint image was unclear or not uploaded correctly, this could be a reason why your biometric data is being flagged.

    • Contact NTA Helpdesk: If applicants suspect there is a problem with their biometric data, they should immediately contact the NTA helpline. NTA provides an official helpdesk through which candidates can resolve issues related to their NEET application. Be sure to explain the issue regarding your fingerprint, and the help desk may provide instructions on how to resolve the matter before the examination.

    • At the Exam Center: On the exam day, if there is any discrepancy in the fingerprint verification or a mismatch is detected, the NEET exam centre 2026 will conduct a fresh fingerprint verification. This is a part of the security process, and the staff will guide students through the procedure.
