Andhra Pradesh state NEET merit list 2026

Before the release of the merit list for AP MBBS 2026, the authority releases the applicant list of NTA NEET qualified candidates from Andhra Pradesh. Such candidates whose names appear on the AP NEET 2026 provisional merit list are required to get their documents verified. Subject to verification of all relevant documents, a final AP NEET merit list 2026 is drafted. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list are eligible to participate in the AP MBBS 2026 counselling.

AP Merit List NEET UG 2026 - Document Verification

After the release of the provisional AP NEET 2026 merit list, the competent authority will release a schedule for document verification for all candidates whose names appear on the merit list. Candidates will be required to report in person at the designated venue to get their original documents verified for AP MBBS admission. Check the list of documents to be verified below.

• NEET result score card
• Class 10 pass certificate or date of birth certificate
• Class 12 or equivalent examination mark sheet
• Transfer Certificate
• Study Certificate from Classes 6 to 12
• Permanent Caste certificate (if required)
• Aadhaar Card
• Minority Certificate (if required)
• Required Certificate for Special categories (Anglo Indian/NCC/CAP/Sports & Games/PH/PMC)
• Local status certificate (if required)
• Residence certificate for 10 years (if required)
• Undertaking for the area and caste signed by the student and parent/s.

AP merit list NEET UG 2026 - Tie-breaking criteria

In case two or more candidates have obtained equivalent scores in NEET 2026, to decide inter-se merit, the competent authority applies tie-breaking criteria. The following are some of the methods of tie-breaking criteria.

• Candidates with higher marks in the Biology section will be considered over others.
• If the tie persists, candidates with more marks in Chemistry will be preferred.
• If the above-mentioned criteria do not resolve the tie, then a candidate with less number of incorrect marks will be considered over others.
• If none of the above, candidates who are older will be given ultimate preference.
