The candidates who will appear in NEET PG 2018, and will apply for 50% State Quota seats for Institutions located in Maharashtra are required to check the merit list of Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 for the counselling sessions. The candidates included in the merit list will be eligible for Maharashtra PG medical counselling 2018 which is already started. Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 Merit List will include candidates who have scored minimum qualifying percentile in NEET PG 2018. NEET PG is a national level postgraduate entrance exam conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE). The candidates are required to fill the online registration form for Maharashtra PG Medical Admissions 2018 to be eligible for Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018. Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria state that a candidate has to score a minimum qualifying percentile in NEET PG 2018 to be eligible for Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018. The aspirants must note that qualifying the exam does not mean that they will be included in the merit list of Maharashtra PG Medical 2018. This only means that they are eligible for Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 Merit List. The candidates can check here the minimum qualifying percentile and the revised minimum qualifying percentile for the previous year.

Highlights of Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018

  • The merit list of Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 will consist of qualified candidate’s name, marks obtained in NEET PG 2018, and 50% State Quota Rank.

  • Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 Merit List will be published in online mode only.

  • The candidates will not be informed about the Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018 individually. The merit list will be released collectively for all the qualified candidates.

Tie Breaker criteria of Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018

The Tie Breaker Criteria will be used if in case two candidates secure same marks in the merit list of Maharashtra PG Medical 2018. The parameters which will be used to determine rank of the candidates in the Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 Merit List who score equal marks in the entrance exam-

  • The candidate who has secured higher aggregate marks at First, Second and Third MBBS Examination (Part I and II) will be preferred over the one who has scored lesser marks for Maharashtra PG Medical Merit List 2018.

  • If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher aggregate marks at Third MBBS Examination (Part I and II) will be preferred over the one with lesser marks for Maharashtra PG Medical 2018 Merit List.

  • If the tie still remains unresolved then the candidate with higher aggregate marks at Second MBBS Examination (Part I and II) will be preferred over the one with lesser marks for the merit list of Maharashtra PG Medical 2018.

  • If the tie still persists, an older candidate will be preferred over the younger one.

Maharashtra PG Medical Counselling 2018

Candidates whose name will appear in the merit list will have to attend the counselling session of Maharashtra PG Medical Admissions 2018. The counselling session started on March 31, 2018. The candidates who will not submit the online options during the counselling session will not get admission to Maharashtra PG Medical 2018.  The counselling sessions will be conducted in online mode. The counselling will be conducted until April 4, 2018.
