    The NEET UG exam is held once a year, usually in May. It is an essential gateway for students seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, and other medical programmes in government and private medical colleges in India. The NTA announces the NEET UG exam date well in advance so that students get ample time to prepare. However, as of the latest updates, the NTA has not announced the NEET 2025 exam date yet. This delay has led to lots of questions regarding the reasons behind it, the implications for aspirants, and the tentative exam date of NEET 2025.

The Radhakrishnan committee has already suggested shifting NEET 2025 in online mode. The NTA is also likely to implement the NEET 2025 biometric attendance system due to which it has to plan accordingly, causing in a NEET exam date announcement delay.

    • Change in NEET 2025 exam pattern - Among the latest NEET 2025 news & updates, talks are going around that there can be changes in the exam pattern of NEET 2025. As per the possible NEET 2025 exam pattern change, the choice of the optional questions might be removed from section B. If this happens, then NTA might revamp the NEET 2025 exam pattern causing the NEET 2025 delayed exam schedule.

    • Administrative challenges - If the NEET 2025 exam is conducted online, then it will be challenging to conduct the biggest medical entrance exam in a single day in a single shift. For this possible online conduct of NEET 2025 exam, NTA will require a massive logistical operation, including the setting up of exam centres, ensuring the availability of staff, and maintaining security protocols. Any delays in administrative preparation in the exam process could lead to the NEET 2025 exam date being postponed.

    • Changes in the NEET syllabus - In recent years, there have been certain changes in the syllabus of NEET UG exam. Any significant change in NEET 2025 syllabus might require additional time for NMC to prepare the NEET 2025 exam syllabus.
