As per the NEET 2025 paper analysis released by the Aakash Institute, the NEET 2025 question paper was tricky as compared to last year’s NEET exam. Although many questions were still based on the NCERT syllabus, there was a clear emphasis on conceptual understanding and application-based problems, moving beyond simple memorisation. Effective time management was essential, as some students found specific sections more time-consuming than others.
As per the Aakash Institute, NEET 2025 was more difficult than NEET 2024 across all paper codes. The NEET 2025 difficulty level subject wise can be broken down as mentioned below.
The physics section was highly numerical and required strong conceptual understanding.
The Chemistry section combined moderately difficult questions with some complex ones.
The Biology section was easier in terms of content but was lengthy and contained detailed questions.

As per the NEET analysis by Aakash Institute, a combination of factors made NEET 2025 feel more challenging:
Heavier focus on calculations in Physics: The Physics section had a large number of numerical questions that required detailed calculations, increasing the time pressure.
Greater emphasis on conceptual understanding: Instead of relying on direct memorization, the exam tested student’s ability to apply concepts in real-world and theoretical scenarios.
Tight time management: The overall paper was lengthier, making it harder for students to complete all sections comfortably within 3 hours.
Unfamiliar question formats: Biology and Chemistry included more complex formats such as multi-statement questions, match-the-following, and assertion-reasoning types.
