Tamil Nadu PG Medical Eligibility Criteria 2018

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India and should have completed MBBS and CRRI (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship) in Tamil Nadu state.

  • If a candidate has not completed MBBS from Tamil Nadu then he must show a certificate of nativity (Passport/Ration Card/Voter’s ID/Driving License/Permanent Medical Registration Certificate).

  • A candidate must score minimum qualifying percentile in NEET PG 2018 for Admission in Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018.

  • A candidate is required to complete Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship on or before March 31, 2018.

  • A candidate must pass MBBS from an Institute recognized by Medical Council of India.

  • A candidate who cancels the admission after the cutoff list is released will be eligible to apply in Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018 for next two years.

  • A candidate who is already pursuing a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma course is not eligible to apply for Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 Admission.

Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission Form 2018

The candidates are required to apply online to take admission in Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018. The online application of Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 Admission will be tentatively released in the last week of March 2018. The candidates seeking admission in Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 have to submit the print out of online application form with a demand draft of Rs. 3000/- drawn in favour of The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai payable at Chennai. The application form along with the demand draft has to be sent to the following address-

Documents Required for Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission Form 2018

  • NEET PG 2018 score card.

  • MBBS/Diploma completion certificate and pass certificate.

  • Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship Certificate.

  • Final MBBS Part II Mark sheets.

  • Permanent Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.

  • Community certificate, if applicable (Community /Backward Community (Muslim)/ Most Backward Community / De notified Communities/ Schedule Caste/ Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar).

Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2018

  • The merit list of Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018 will be released in the second week of April 2018.
  • The cutoff list will be calculated on the basis of NEET PG 2018 score and experience marks of a candidate (90 marks for NEET PG 2018 + 10 marks for experience).
  • 10 marks for experience means one mark for each completed year after the CRRI (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship) completion for non-service candidates.
  • The candidates will not be informed about the counselling of Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 Admission individually.
  • The merit list for Admission in Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 will consist of the candidate’s name, 50% State Quota Rank, All India Rank, NEET PG 2018 percentile, score and category.

Tie-Breaker Criteria of Tamil Nadu PG Medical Merit List 2018

The Tie Breaker Criteria will be used if in case two candidates secure same marks in the merit list of Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018. The parameters which will be used, to determine ranks of the candidates in the merit list of Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 Admission who score equal marks in the entrance exam-

  • The candidate who has scored more marks in the NEET PG 2018 entrance exam (only including 90 marks for NEET PG 2018) will be preferred over the one who has scored lesser marks for Admission in Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018.

  • If the tie still persists, the candidate who has least number of appearances in the qualifying final MBBS Part II will be considered over the one who has more.

  • If the tie still remains unresolved then the candidate who is older in age will be preferred over the one who is younger in Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018.

  • In case the tie still persists, candidates will be allotted computerised random number and the candidate whose number is higher will be preferred over the lesser one.

Tamil Nadu PG Medical Counselling 2018

The counselling session for Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018 will start in the second week of April 2018. The admission in Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 will be made by counselling on the basis of merit list of Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018. The counselling will be conducted offline. The candidates will be called in batches wherein they have to apply for one course and one subject. No changes will be entertained after a candidate has locked his choice. The candidates are required to submit a demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10” payable at Chennai during the counselling process of Tamil Nadu PG Medical 2018 Admission. If a candidate is unable to attend the counselling process of Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018 then he/she can authorise a representative to attend the counselling. The second round of Tamil Nadu PG Medical Admission 2018 counselling depends on the availability of the seats.
