Why is the NEET PG 2025 cutoff reduced?

The reduction in NEET PG 2025 cutoff has been implemented because of the following reasons:

  • Large number of vacant PG medical seats: Several states reported vacant MD/MS and diploma seats after earlier NEET PG 2025 counselling rounds. The PG seats of top specializations were filled. It is possible that those who were not able to secure seats in round 2 will now appear for the NEET PG exam next year to claim the seat of their choice. To fill the vacant seats, the authority released NEET PG revised cutoff 2025.

  • Admission to PG Diploma courses: The admission to PG medical Diploma courses is also done on the basis of NEET PG cutoff. To make candidates eligible for the PG Diploma seats, the NEET PG 2025 cutoff has been revised.
