The MCC MBBS counselling 2024 is for the 15% AIQ seats, whereas the respective state counselling authorities are responsible for the counselling of 85% state quota seats. The authority started the registrations for NEET UG counselling on August 14 at mcc.nic.in. Candidates could register for the round 1 counselling of NEET till August 20.

For the 85% state quota seats, the MBBS counselling 2024 eligibility criteria will be set by the state authorities. Candidates looking for the 15% AIQ NEET counselling 2024 need to meet certain eligibility criteria.
- Candidates must have qualified for the NEET 2024 exam with the required minimum qualifying marks
- Candidates must have passed their 10 + 2 standard or its equivalent from a recognised board
- All the candidates should have successfully registered online on the MBBS counselling portal of the respective authority.
MCC MBBS counselling 2024
The MBBS counselling process will be conducted in 4 rounds including the stray vacancy round. Below is a comprehensive overview of the MBBS 2024 counselling process.
The first step is appearing for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) and qualify it with the required NEET qualifying marks.
After the entrance exam, the NEET result is announced, and a merit list is prepared based on candidates' scores. This All India Rank determines the order in which candidates will participate in NEET Counselling 2024 .
Candidates must register themselves for the NEET Counselling on the official website of MCC. MCC conducts the MBBS counselling 2024 for the 15% AIQ seats, whereas, for the 85% state quota MBBS seats, students need to register at the respective state counselling authority. This step usually involves filling out personal details, NEET exam details, and preferences for colleges.
Candidates are required to fill out their preferences for MBBS colleges based on their rank and availability of seats.
Based on the merit rank, choices filled, and availability of seats, candidates are allotted seats in different medical colleges. This process may happen in multiple steps depending on the counselling authority.
Once seats are allotted through MBBS Counselling 2024, candidates need to report to the designated counselling centres for document verification. This includes verifying the identity, educational qualification, and other relevant information.

Other than NEET some state colleges use their own entrance exam like MHT CET, CUET, AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, KCET, KEAM, and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for pharmacy.

If your daughter is currently studying in a CBSE affiliated school in Qatar and has been living abroad for the past few years, she will likely qualify for an NRI seat when applying for NEET, as she meets the criteria of being an Indian citizen residing abroad and completing her 10th and 12th education from a foreign country.
NRI students can apply NEET UG under NRI category. Your daughter will be applying for seats under AIQ quota i.e 15% seats only .some states dont give reservation to NRI like Karnataka but some states like gujarat has NRI reservation.while considering colleges check specific eligibility criteria of the medical colleges you are applying to, as there may be minor variations in their NRI admission policies.

There is no other major government examination in India that overlaps with the NEET syllabus to provide similar careers in the medical field. NEET is, however the gateway to medical and dental colleges in the country.
In case you wish to pursue other fields of science, here are your options:
1. Engineering:
JEE Main: This examination offers entry to engineering colleges, providing a vast number of courses in engineering.
2. Other Related Health Sciences:
B.Sc Nursing: Eligibility criteria differ for this course, such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
