Medical aspirants must be aware of NEET 2025 eligibility criteria prior to filling the application form to avoid the rejection of the NTA NEET application form. Below mentioned are the points regarding the eligibility criteria of NEET 2025.
Nationality: Medical aspirants who are Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians, Overseas Citizens of India, Persons of Indian Origin, and Foreign Nationals are eligible for NEET UG 2025.
Qualifying exam: It is mandatory for admission-seeking candidates to pass a 10+2 or equivalent exam with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as the core subjects from a recognized board of education. Candidates pursuing class 12 or any other equivalent board are also eligible for NEET 2025 registration.
Qualifying marks: Qualifying marks to appear for NEET 2025 differs category-wise. Candidates belonging to Unreserved category (UR) must score 50% as aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology whereas those belonging to SC/ST/OBC must score an aggregate of 40%. Those candidates who belong to the Persons with Disability (PwD) category have to secure 45%.
Minimum age: Aspiring candidates must complete 17 years of age as of December 31, 2025.
Maximum age: The NEET upper age limit has been removed by the authority.
Maximum attempts: As there is no upper age appear in the examination, candidates can give as many attempts as they want.

In the first step candidates have to register themselves, filling the required details. A NEET 2025 application number is generated which is used to fill the remaining application form.
In the next step, candidates have to fill in the details regarding question paper medium, exam centre details, and upload the documents.
In the third step, candidates have to pay the requisite fee and submit the application form.

Aspirants will be redirected to the window mentioning all instructions regarding the exam. It will include details like documents required, important dates pertaining to the exam, eligibility criteria, etc.
Candidates have to go through the instructions carefully, accept that they have done the same by selecting the area provided, and then click on ‘Click here to Proceed’
After completing the steps mentioned above candidates will be redirected to the ‘Registration page’ of NEET 2025. Replica of the same can be seen in the image below.
On this page candidates will have to enter their name, mother’s name, father’s name, gender, date of birth, category, nationality, state, identity type, ID proof number, valid mobile number, and email ID. It is to be noted that the candidate’s details like name, date of birth, and gender, in the application form and government ID proof must match. Also, their mother’s and father’s names should match with class 10 certificate.
Then, candidates will have to preview the information entered and click on ‘Next’
In the screen that appears after completing the steps above, candidates have to fill in the below-mentioned details
Create a password
Add a security question
Enter the OTP sent on their valid mobile number and email ID
Click on the ‘submit’ after filling in the details
The screen that appears after completing the steps above will have a provisional registration number as shown in the image below. Candidates have to keep this number safe as this will be used along with the password created by them and serve as login credentials.
Candidates will have to then click on ‘Process Detail’ if they wish to continue filling the form or close the window if they wish to pause after the registration.

4. In the next window, candidates will have to fill in their Aadhaar details, gender, date of birth. After this, check on the declaration box and click on the ‘Submit & Next’ tab. Refer to the image below.
5. In the next window, candidates will have to give exam centre details. Here they will have to choose 3 exam centres, question paper medium, parent’s qualification/occupation, and click on the ‘Save & Next’. The image below shows the same.
6. Next, candidates will have to enter their academic details of class 10, 11 and 12 or equivalent. At the bottom of this page candidates will be asked to fill their marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Biology in class 12.
7. Now candidates will have to enter some additional details such as place of birth, state, district, enter the security pin and click on ‘Save & Next’.
In this step medical aspirants have to upload their photograph, left & right fingers and thumb impression and signature according to the specifications given in the table below. Applicants should know the NEET photo size and format 2025 specification before uploading the documents.

After uploading the documents, candidates will be redirected to the review page where they will have to check whether the details showing on the front end are correct or not. Refer to the image provided below.
After reviewing the details candidates will have to click on the declaration ‘I Agree’ and click on ‘Submit Application Form’. Refer to the image provided below.
Next, candidates will be redirected to the window where the status of the application form will be shown. Through this window candidates will be able to revisit their filled application form if any details are found to be incorrect by clicking on ‘Edit Application Form’. If details filled are correct, click on ‘Click here to verify your Email ID’.
One time password (OTP) will be sent to the registered Email ID which needs to be entered in the provided space and then click on ‘Verify’.
In the next step, candidates have to make payment for the application form of NEET. Category wise application fee of NEET 2025 is given in the table above. There are certain points that are to be known to the candidates prior to making the NEET application fee payment
The mode of fee payment is online. Candidates can make the payment of the application form through credit/debit card and net banking using SBI/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm payment gateway.
After this candidates will be redirected to the payment interface page where they can make NEET application fee payment.
After candidates have made application fee payments for the application form, the NEET confirmation page window will be displayed. Generation of the confirmation page confirms that the application has been submitted successfully. The points given below have to be kept in mind regarding the confirmation page of the application form of NEET.
Candidates have to go through all the details mentioned on the confirmation page and verify the same
The confirmation page will be sent to candidates on their registered mobile number and email ID
It is advised that candidates take at least 3-4 printouts of the page for future reference
In case candidates forget to take the printout of the confirmation page they can log in again using their provisional registration number and password and take the printout of the same
It is to be noted that candidates will not be able to download the confirmation page of NEET application form 2025 after the last date of filling the same
