Careers360 Congratulations on your NEET 2025 results! How are your feelings about this achievement?
Keshav Mittal: Thank you so much. I am excited, but I can’t believe it. The word that best describes my feeling is ‘disbelief’.
Careers360: Tell us something about yourself. Where did you complete your schooling and what about your family?
Keshav Mittal: My name is Keshav Mittal. I belong to Barnala, Punjab. I did my schooling from Punjab itself. My father is a doctor, my mother is a housewife. I have a younger brother.
Careers360: What motivated you to choose medicine as a career? When did you decide to become a doctor?
Keshav Mittal: My father was always my motivation. He was my biggest inspiration. I followed him and from the very start I was clear that I will become a doctor but my rank in NEET 2025 exam amazed me.
Careers360: Is this your first attempt? When did you start your preparations for the NEET exam?
Keshav Mittal: Yes, this was my first attempt. I started my NEET preparations when I was in class 11. I prepared for the NEET exam from Allen Institute.
Careers360: How much time did you devote to self-study? What do you think is better, coaching or self-study?
Keshav Mittal: I used to go to coaching for 7-8 hours, after that self study also used to go on for 7-8 hours. In my opinion, both NEET coaching and self study are important to achieve a wonderful NEET 2025 result.
Careers360: Which subject is your weakest, and which is your strongest?
Keshav Mittal: Earlier I used to be afraid of Physics. But, with time I was able to solve the Physics questions easily. Later Physics became my strongest subject.
Careers360: How was the NEET UG preparation different from the early days to just a month before the exam?
Keshav Mittal: In the beginning I was new, so I did not have that kind of experience. But as the exam came closer, I gained experience, interactions with teachers increased, then everything started getting better. As we keep on preparing for NEET syllabus a very small amount of the syllabus remains for which you have to work hard.
Careers360: What was your exam day strategy? What was the roughest and the easiest section, according to you?
Keshav Mittal: The day before the NEET exam day I was casual, parents also did not put any stress on me, just casual conversation took place. NEET Physics was tough this year and overall the paper was also tough. The easiest was the NEET Biology.
Careers360: Which college is your dream college for studying medicine? What is your aspiration in the field of medicine, and which specialisation would you be interested in?
Keshav Mittal: AIIMS Delhi is my dream college. About the specializations, I will go with Neuro surgery.

Keshav Mittal: My grandmother and parents. And the rest of the mentors from my coaching.
Careers360: What would you suggest to future NEET aspirants in terms of preparation, attitude, etc?
Keshav Mittal: The suggestion for the NEET aspirants is that consistency is the key and self-confidence helps a lot. Like there are distractions, demotivation during the journey, so one should not lose confidence.
