The NEET 2026 exam changes by NTA have been made for the following reasons:
Preventing impersonation and identity fraud through Aadhaar-based eKYC: Aadhaar eKYC allows the matching of UIDAI details with the details filled in the application form. In case of any discrepancy, the portal does not allow candidates to move further with the application process.
Eliminating duplicate and fake applications: As every candidate has one Aadhaar card only, this prevents duplicates and submission of fake applications.
Improving transparency of the NEET 2026 exam: With the NEET 2026 exam changes, authority plans to increase the transparency in the medical entrance examination process.
