The Aashaar eKYC has been introduced to reduce the cases of disguise, duplicate applications and identity fraud. Identity authentication: Aadhaar eKYC in the NEET application form 2026 verifies candidate’s name, date of birth, gender and photograph against UIDAI records so that only genuine candidates can apply.

Name mismatch: Candidates must ensure that the name entered in the NEET 2026 application form matches the name on their Aadhaar Card. Even a small spelling mistake can lead to issues in the further process.
Outdated Aadhaar photograph: As the authority has introduced a live photo capture rule, an outdated photo in the Aadhaar may not match with it, creating issues in filling the NEET application form 2026.
