The National Testing Agency conducts the National Teachers Eligibility Test, NTET in online mode. The authority has released the NTET application form 2025 at the official website. NTET Ayurveda Exam

NTET 2025 will be conducted online on July 17, 2025. The medium of the question paper of NTET 2025 is English and Hindi language only. A total of 100 multiple-choice questions are asked in the NTET 2025 examination, which need to be answered in 2 hours. For each correct answer, 1 mark is given, whereas, there is no negative marking for any wrong answer.

Eligible postgraduate candidates need to register and submit their online NTET application form 2025. An application correction window for NTET 2025 is provided to make rectifications in the application form. The authority issues the NTET admit card 2025 for the successfully registered candidates. After conducting the online exam, the NTA releases the NTET answer key 2025 along with the recorded responses of the students. What is NTET?

NTET full form is the National Teachers Eligibility Test. It is the minimum qualification required in India for any postgraduate student to be eligible for a teaching profession in Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy. Qualified candidates are issued an ‘NTET Certificate’ by the respective commission. The NTET certificate is valid for 10 years.

The National Teachers Eligibility test assesses the teaching aptitude, communication skills, classroom management, teaching, training and assessment technology, student psychology, andragogy, pedagogy or such other as may be specified by the Commission.

NTET exam eligibility

Candidates appearing for the NTET 2025 must fulfil the following eligibility criteria -

  • The candidate must hold a postgraduate degree in any of the following - Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, and Homeopathy.

  • For Ayurveda, candidates must hold any of the following degrees from a recognised institution - BAMS and MD Ayurveda/ BAMS and MS Ayurveda/ MA Sanskrit/ BAMS and MSc Anatomy/ BAMS and MSc Physiology/ BAMS and Master in Public Health/ BAMS and MSc Ayurbiology

  • For Siddha, the candidate must hold any of the following degrees - BSMS and MD Siddha, MA Tamil/ MA English, BSMS and MSc Anatomy/ Physiology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Botany/ Master in Public Health, MSc Biochemistry, MSc Microbiology

  • A candidate from the Unani discipline must hold a degree in any one of the following - BUMS and MD Unani/ MS Unani/ MA Urdu/ MSc Anatomy/ MSc Physiology/ MSc Biochemistry/ MSc Microbiology/ MSc Pharmacology/ Master in Public Health

NTET application form 2025

The application form of NTET 2025 can be filled out online in 3 steps. The process included in filling up the NTET 2025 application form is as follows -

  • Apply for online registration using your Email ID and mobile number.

  • Upon successful registration, an application number and password are sent to the registered email ID and mobile number

  • Login using the credentials received after successful registration

  • Fill in the details asked in the NTET application form 2025

  • Upload scanned images of the documents asked in the application form. The details of these documents are provided below.

  • Pay the fee using any online payment option and take a printout of the receipt

NTET 2025 registration process: Documents required

While filling out the application form for NTET 2025, candidates need to upload the below-mentioned documents -

  • A recent passport-size photograph (file size 10Kb – 200Kb) either in colour or black & white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background

  • Candidate’s signature (file size: 4kb - 30kb).

Apart from uploading these documents, candidates are required to keep ready the following documents before starting the online form filling of NTET 2025.

  • A valid government ID proof

  • Class X board certificate

  • Bank account details for payment of fee

  • A valid e-mail ID and a valid mobile number

  • A valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for online payment

NTET admit card 2025

NTA issues the admit card of NTET 2025 for the successfully registered students. NTET admit card 2025 can be downloaded from the official website. Before releasing the NTET 2025 admit card, NTA releases the city intimation slip that mentions the allotted exam centres. The steps to download the NTET admit card 2025 are as follows -

  • Go to the official website: nta.ac.in.

  • Click on the link provided to download the admit card

  • Enter the NTET application number and password received during the filling of application form

  • NTET admit card 2025 appears on the screen. Cross check the details mentioned in the admit card

  • Take a printout of the NTET 2025 admit card

NTET 2025 exam day guidelines

The NTET 2025 exam is conducted online in CBT mode. The exam duration of NTET 2025 is 2 hours. The candidates need to report at the exam centre two hours before the commencement of the examination. The registration desk closes 90 minutes before the examination. Candidates must bring the following documents on the day of the examination at the exam centre.

  • Print copy of NTET admit card

  • One passport-size photograph (same as uploaded on the online NTET application form)

  • Any authorised government ID

  • PwD certificate (if opted for a scribe)

NTET answer key 2025

After the completion of the online examination, the authority releases the recorded responses and NTET question paper attempted by the candidates before declaring the result. Along with the recorded response sheet, the provisional NTET answer key 2025 is also released. The authority provides an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the provisional answer key with a non-refundable online payment of Rs 200 per question. Once the challenge window for NTET answer key is closed, the authority then releases the final answer key of NTET.

NTET result 2025

The NTET result is prepared based on the final answer key of NTET 2025. Candidates can check their result of NTET 2025 and download their scorecards from the official website. The following steps are required to check the result of NTET 2025.

  • Go to the official website, nta.nic.in

  • Click on the link provided for the NTET result 2025

  • Enter the application number and password of NTET 2025 and login

  • The result of NTET 2025 is displayed

  • Cross check the personal details in the NTET result 2025 and take a printout of the result for future reference
