The duration of the Diploma in Physiotherapy is 2 years. The eligibility criteria for DPT are as follows:

• Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as their main subjects.

For Undergraduate Courses

For BPT,  the duration of the course is 4 and ½ years with compulsory 6 months of internship, while for B.Sc in Physiotherapy, the duration is 3 years. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

• The minimum age required is 17 years.

• Candidates should have passed class 12 with 50% marks from a recognised board.

• Candidates should have studied Physics, Biology, and Chemistry as their core subjects in their 12th standard along with English.

For Postgraduate Courses

• Candidates should have completed their BPT or a degree equivalent to BPT from a recognised university.

Admission to physiotherapy courses takes place in two ways, one based on the merit list and the other based on the marks obtained in entrance tests. Some colleges have their entrance tests for admission in physiotherapy courses; while some colleges accept candidates based on the marks obtained in class 12. 

Based on the merit list: Candidates have to download and fill out the college admission form from the official website and also mention their course preferences. Candidates who scored good marks in the class 12 examination, which is at par or more than the cut-off decided by the college will be preferred. The last step in the admission process is the verification of the documents and payment of admission fees.

Based on counselling and interview: Interested candidates are required to fill out the entrance test form for the physiotherapy courses from the respective college.
