Only after a successful NEET registration fees payment, the NEET confirmation page is generated. This NEET confirmation page serves as proof of a candidate’s successful submission of the NEET UG application 2025. In this article, we have discussed the reasons for a transaction failure while applying for NEET, the possible solutions, and the steps that applicants can take to resolve this issue and avoid this error in NEET 2025 application form.
When filling out the NEET application form 2025, candidates are required to pay the NEET registration fees for the processing of their application. The NEET registration fees can be paid online through debit/credit cards, net banking, UPI, or other online payment methods. A NEET payment failure occurs when the payment is not successfully processed during the NEET apply online process. This means that the applicant is unable to complete the payment and, as a result, cannot submit the NEET application form and hence cannot generate the NEET confirmation page. The NEET confirmation page is an important NEET 2025 candidate ID requirement.

Transaction failure during the filling of NEET UG registration form 2025 may occur even if the payment seems to be deducted from the bank account. This can lead to a situation where the NEET 2025 application form is marked as "incomplete" despite payment being made. Some of the reasons that can lead to a NEET payment failure are as follows -
Banking or Payment Gateway issues: One of the most common causes for NEET UG application fee transaction failure is related to the payment gateway or banking server issues. Sometimes, payment gateways may experience downtime or glitches, which prevent successful transactions.
Incorrect payment details: Entering incorrect payment details such as the wrong card number, CVV, expiry date, or OTP can result in a failed transaction. If the payment gateway is unable to verify the details, the NEET registration fees will not be processed.
Insufficient funds: If the applicant’s bank account or card does not have enough balance or credit limit to cover the NEET application fee, the payment will fail.
Banking network issues: Payment failures in NEET online form can occur due to issues with the applicant’s bank, including network or connectivity problems between the applicant's bank and the payment gateway.
Session timeout: If there is a long delay in completing the payment process, the payment session may expire, leading to a transaction failure.
Technical glitches or errors: Sometimes, the NEET official website, neet.nta.nic.in itself may face technical issues or bugs, causing errors during the payment of NEET 2025 registration fees.
Blocked or restricted cards: If the applicant’s bank card is blocked or restricted for online transactions (due to security concerns, regional restrictions, etc.), the payment will not be processed successfully.
Browser issues: Sometimes, the browser used for making payments may not be compatible with the NEET website neet.nta.nic.in or the payment gateway. This can cause the payment for NEET registration 2025 to fail.
If a transaction fails during the NEET application process, it’s essential to remain calm and take the following NEET 2025 application form troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue -
NEET 2025 applicants are advised to confirm the status of their NEET application fees. If the amount has been debited from the account, check whether the payment status has been updated in the NEET candidate login portal. Sometimes, the system may take a while to reflect the payment, so it’s important to wait for a few minutes and refresh the page.
In case the payment has not been deducted from the bank account and the application status is still showing as incomplete, candidates can retry the payment process.
Ensure to enter the correct payment details.
Double-check the card number, CVV, expiry date, and OTP.
Try using a different payment method, such as a different bank account, debit/credit card, or net banking service.
If the NEET application fee payment transaction failure issue persists, try using a different web browser or device. Certain browsers may cause compatibility issues with the payment gateway. Switching to other browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox can resolve these issues. Alternatively, students can try making the payment from a different device (smartphone, tablet, or laptop).
If the candidates have verified that their payment details are correct, but the transaction is still failing, in this case, they can contact the bank. There may be a restriction on the account or card that is preventing the transaction from being processed.
If the payment gateway or the bank’s server is experiencing heavy traffic, it is advised to wait for some time and retry the payment of NEET form fees during non-peak hours. Evening hours and weekends might witness higher traffic, leading to failure in payment of NEET 2025 application fees.
In some cases, the payment may be deducted from the applicant’s bank account, but the NEET application portal still shows an incomplete or failed transaction. In such situations, applicants should take the following actions:
Check with your bank: Confirm that the payment was successfully processed and the amount was debited.
Take a screenshot: Capture a screenshot or save a payment confirmation receipt to use as proof of payment.
Contact NEET helpdesk: If the payment status is not updated, contact the NEET helpdesk or the examination authority to report the issue and submit proof of payment.
