Medical aspirants must provide identity details and upload necessary documents during the NEET application process. Candidates who are appearing for the NEET UG must go through the NEET information bulletin to get document details related to the entrance exam well in advance. The NTA has provided the list of NEET 2025 candidate ID documents required for the NEET 2025 application form. Candidates are advised to keep any one of the following candidate ID requirements for NEET 2025 and documents ready to complete the registration process smoothly. Only after sucessful submission of the below-listed documents, the applicants can proceed to the NEET form fees submission. Failing to do so there might be transaction failure in NEET application form.
The eligible candidates from all Indian states need to provide any one of the following identity details required for the NEET application form 2025. Below is the list of NEET 2025 candidate ID requirements.
Class 12 Admit card
Aadhaar card
Election card (EPIC No.)
Ration card
Bank account passbook with photograph
Passport number
Number of any other photo identity card issued by government

The NTA has set NEET photo ID specifications for the candidates. It must be noted that the medical aspirants should adhere to the guidelines for uploading the NEET photo 2025 as specified by the NTA. The NEET 2025 photo ID specifications are:
The scanned photograph must be taken after January 1, 2025.
The size of the NEET photo should be 10 Kb to 200 Kb.
The photograph must have white background with at least 80% of the face visible.
It should not be taken with a cap or goggles. Meanwhile, spectacles are allowed if worn regularly
Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not acceptable
It should have the candidate's name and the date of taking the photograph.
The photo format is JPG.
Candidates need to provide any one of the NEET 2025 identification proof in order to fill NEET application form 2025. Indian nationals can use the following documents for identification: Class 12 admit card, Aadhaar card, election card (epic no.), ration card, bank account passbook with photograph, passport number or number of any other photo identity card issued by the government. While NRI/OCI/PIO candidates need to have passport and embassy certificates and foreign nationals require a passport and embassy certificate as identification proof for NEET 2025.
Many NEET applicants often gets confused with the domicile certificate and search for the question "Is Domicile certificate required for NEET?". The domicile certificate is not required while filling the NEET application form 2025. It is only required during the state counselling for the 85% state quota seats.
Yes, an Aadhaar card is necessary for NEET 2025 candidate ID. Candidates need to update their Aadhaar details as per their Class 10th marksheet or passing certificate. The Aadhaar must be linked to a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication. The NTA has provided NEET 2025 Aadhaar registration guidelines to ensure smooth functioning of registration process and verification process.
Candidates need to produce the following documents at the exam centre for NEET 2025 exam ID verification requirements.
Printout of NEET 2025 admit card
A passport size photograph (uploaded on the NEET application form)
A valid ID proof
