BVSc stands for Bachelor of Veterinary Science which is the study of the different treatments of different types of animals. It is a course which imparts the students with knowledge that is required for the treatment, nourishment, and the breeding of animals. The students who have the desire to work and treat animals should opt for this field. The course is ideal for the students who are animal lovers and then make a career in this field with the appropriate knowledge that is required to work in the field. They also need to treat the ill animals, the injured animals, and the animals who have certain problems.

The eligibility criteria are the criteria which are decided by different colleges to grant admission to the students who fulfil that criteria to get admission to the course. If the candidate fits the eligibility criteria, then he/she is granted admission to the course. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below :
BVSc - The students must complete their 12th in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects and scoring at least 50% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying examination. They should have a valid score in the NEET exam.
MVSc - The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science. They should have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent in the last qualifying examination and also cleared the required entrance examination.
PhD - To pursue a PhD degree in Veterinary Science, the candidate should have a master’s degree with at least 50% marks so that they are eligible to pursue a PhD degree in the field.
The admission is different according to different colleges. Some of the conduct entrance examinations while some grant admission based on the merit marks of the candidates. It depends on the college whether they want to conduct the entrance examination or not.
