Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh conducts the BSc nursing exam in online mode. Through the PGIMER BSc nursing entrance examination, admission will be granted to 93 BSc (4 Years) and 62 BSc post-basic seats. The PGIMER BSc nursing 2024 exam was conducted on July 26. As per the latest update, the result of PGIMER BSc nursing has been declared on August 9, 2024. 

100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in the PGIMER BSc nursing exam. The total duration of the exam will be 90 minutes. As per the PGIMER marking scheme for BSc nursing, one mark is given for each correct answer while 0.25 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

PGIMER BSc Nursing (4 Years) Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or any other examination as equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

  • Candidates appearing in 10+2 in the current year are eligible to apply. But they will be issued admit cards only if they submit the Class 12 marks sheet to the Principal, 10 days before the commencement of the entrance exam.

  • Candidates must not be more than 25 years and not less than 17 years on September 1, 2024.

PGIMER BSc Nursing (Post-Basic) Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board/University.

  • Candidates with a General Nursing and Midwifery with a minimum of 50% aggregate can also apply.

  • Registered nurses and registered midwives qualified from a recognized Institute & State Nursing Council approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) are also eligible to apply.

  • Candidates must not be more than 45 years as on September 1, 2024 i.e. those born before September 1, 1977 are not eligible. 

In order to complete the PGIMER BSC nursing application form, candidates should follow the given steps:

Step 1 - Registration

Eligible candidates must visit the official website of PGIMER Chandigarh. Candidates will have to click on the ‘new user registration’ and fill the mandatory details asked for such as email ID, mobile number and password. Candidates must save their user ID, application number and password for login purposes.

Step 2 - Filling the Basic Details

Candidates will have to log in using credentials such as user Id and password. Enter details such as personal, academic, contact details, address and other information. 

Step 3 - Uploading Documents, Photographs & Signature 

After the successful completion of the registration process, candidates will have to upload the required documents and recent passport-size scanned photographs in the prescribed format as per the specifications mentioned.

Step 4 - Payment of Application Fee

Step 5 - Printout of application form
